Bar Le Côte is a stylish seafood tavern located in Los Olivos, California. Inspired by the daily catch of the Central Coast and the modern cuisine of Europe’s seaside capitals, our team prepares thoughtful maritime fare in a casual, social atmosphere.

We have very limited patio seating and do not allow dogs to dine indoors. If you would like to reserve an outdoor table please email us at info@barlecote.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

We hold a portion of our tables for walk-ins, however we do recommend a reservation to guarantee being seated. We give all reservations a 15 minute grace period before being released to other guests. Thank you for your understanding!

* Please note that ride shares and taxis can be hard to come by in the valley, especially later in the evening. We will always do our best to assist in getting you a ride, but please plan accordingly *

Entering the restaurant you are met with an immediate feeling that you are in for a lovely time. The decor is spot on and the staff is lovely. My husband and I had the chef’s tasting menu and were blown away with the tastes and presentation. The oysters were fabulous as were the scallops (our favorite). The salad had this wonderful dressing on it. The shrimp were perfect and we ate the whole pile of crispy French fries tossed with Tajin and Bay Seasoning. Then they brought us this giant sliced pork chop that was amazing. By this point we were very full so needed to bring most of it home. Dessert was a perfect scoop of ice cream topped with sherry. All in all one of the best experiences we have had.

Everything we ordered was delicious, but the caviar cheesecake in particular was such a delight we had to order a second. Service at lunch was attentive yet unobtrusive - order coursed out, glasses kept filled, plates and silverware changed as necessary. Lovely spot with excellent sourcing of high quality seafood (spied a certain local sea mermaid making a delivery of uni and fish). A new favorite - lunch at Bar Le Cote and dinner at Bell’s for the perfect area dining itinerary?
