This place is so amazing and the ambiance is great, make sure you look up at the old growth timbers! They took such good care of us from start to finish. The alder smoked mackerel was incredible appetizer and so was the octopus, we also had an uni flight which was very fresh. With their emphasis on wild caught and sustainability it's a must anytime you're in Portland.

We like to go to Bamboo for our anniversary. The SE location is much quieter than the NE location. We were able to sit by the window and the table next was open for our whole evening. Which was nice, we were able to enjoy a quiet anniversary.

My husband and I were making up for missing Valentines Day at our favorite restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious (as always!!), and was incredibly fresh! The spicy tuna hand rolls were amazing, fresh and spicy, the way they’re meant to be done!! Other places should take a few lessons from here!!

Great service. Sat by the sushi bar. Cocktails were delicious. Amazing sushi and sashimi. Best scallop nigiri we’ve ever had.

We were celebrating a birthday for a friend, everyone enjoyed the food and drinks and having a wonderful time. This was my first time visiting this location and making a reservation. I hope that when I made the reservation I was told a time frame to stay and not for a waiter to come and tell us that if we were not ordering something else, people were waiting for a table.
