Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Bad Roman offers a vibrant atmosphere with "excellent service" and "delicious food." Highlights include "whipped ricotta," "lemon cheesecake," and creative pasta dishes. While it can get "a little loud," it's a "great spot for a fun evening" with friends. Service may vary, but the ambiance and flavors "do not disappoint."

Chicken was undercooked and by the time it was remade the rest of our party was finished eating. They also forgot about one of our appetizers. It was clear they are setting up for a private buyout of the restaurant so we felt rushed, near the end of our meal they turned off the music and started running the vacuum. It was 4pm.

Very busy noisy place that is convenient for people going to Jazz at Lincoln Center. Food and service are excellent.salad and pasta dishes are large enough to share. Tell your server about time constraints and they will suggest appropriate menu items.

Every dish we had was amazing! Both of the crudo dishes and oysters were delicious. We also had pastas and they were fantastic. I am gluten-free and that was easily accommodated. The gluten free cacio e Pepe pasta was amazing!

Our first time here. Delicious branzino and pork chop. The Caesar salad was outstanding and big enough to split. A complimentary birthday dessert. Excellent service.

Our poor server looked absolutely exhausted and had no support with clearing tables. Her section looked huge and she never stopped running around but as a result service was slow. The food came out cold and the pasta was $45 for essentially 3 butter noodles. We left hungry after two appetizers and an entree. Very expensive and very little value. The card was really sweet and probably our favorite part of the whole experience.

I had Easter brunch at Bad Roman with my husband, brother, and good friend, and it was a very memorable and delicious experience overall. The place is beautiful and definitely has a wow factor. I really loved the overall aesthetic, down to the greenery on the ceilings and the snake handles on the bathroom doors. The food was also exceptionally lovely in terms of plating, and I was happy that all of the dishes actually tasted as good as they looked. We shared two orders of babka, pepperoni cups, and tuna tartar, and for entrees had the kale pasta, burger, carbonara baked eggs, and smoked salmon baked eggs. We ended the meal with the blood orange sorbetto and lemon cheesecake. The lemon cheesecake is presented in the form of actual lemon, which is so cute. The shell of the lemons is made of white chocolate and the cheesecake filling is light and fluffy. It comes on a graham cracker crumble bed and is presented on a decorative lemon plate. That was perhaps my favorite dish of all, but I loved everything that I tasted, which is rare. :) I look forward to coming back someday for dinner.
