   We got there for our Open Table reservation and the hostess said "we don't take Open Table reservations anymore." I have had these reservations for weeks through the app. Gotten confirming emails and reminders that come automatically. Story didn't seem complete so maybe the hostess was confused. We were able to get a table within a few minutes and the meal was good even though the kitchen was overwhelmed. Wait was long but everything was good when it came out. Our server was nice and did the best she could. Seemed like a management issue. Anyone with Open Table reservations on the busy weekend are going to be unhappy if they really aren't part of the program any longer.

   This is our second time at this restaurant. The first time we had terrible service and thought it was just a fluke. This time the service was even worse. The kitchen is very slow getting things out. We were in no particular rush but it took 30 minutes to get a cocktail and another 45 before the salad was served. One of the salads came without the dressing and there was another long delay before they brought it back. The problem probably lies with poor management. Their only saving grace is that the food, when it arrives, is really good.

   Our reservation was declined after the hostess (who was too preoccupied with her drunk friends running around the host stand) told us our reservation would not be accepted because this restaurant no longer accepts OpenTable. We were VERY disappointed when we were turned away especially after I had talked up how great the food and service has been in the past. We ended up having to go to a different restaurant which was terrible. I was not only VERY dissapionted in the fact that our reservation was declined (even though I had made it a month ago) but for the TERRIBLE service provided by the hostess.

   Please NOTE VERY IMPORTANT This restaurant does NOT accept open table reservations anymore. We arrived and they had nothing under our name even though I had received an open table confirmation ! They worked us in within the hour and were very helpful but on a busy weekend in Oxford this is not what you want to happen!

   Had an excellent meal and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We showed up with one extra diner and they didn't even blink. We also felt that it was a very good value.

   The gumbo was good, as was the creamed spinach artichoke appetizer. The wine list is limited but contained a few good choices. A couple of high end wines by the bottle only.

   Did not get to have Dinner here as we made and received confirmation of our reservation through Open Table, and shortly before we were leaving to go out, received a text saying they could not honor it, as a large party was not entered into their system properly. Would have been more understanding except I learned from others in the area, that this is not an uncommon practice of this establishment. If they get a large group, they will just bump others out.

   We had a great dinner. The food was great! In all fairness, I couldn't give Ambiance a 5 only because there were two huge groups seated around us that made it difficult for the wait staff to get around and also really raised the noise level. It was a very busy, parent weekend, Saturday night. The wait staff did a great job and the kitchen support the large crowd very efficiently. I would go back easily and I hear there are sister sites on the Gulf Coast.. I would search them out!

    The food was good, but there are better options within 500 feet. They were short staff- it was Spring Break in Oxford. Very good portion sizes. Good value.
