Always a pleasant experience. If you like Thai, you need to visit this place. I’ve tried most things in the menu and can’t say there was anything I found disappointing. My favorites are the spicy eggplant, green curry, and a new favorite is the pad see ew. Great food for the price.

The portions are large so an appetizer and main course for each person is MORE than enough - especially if you're sharing. Nice variety and very tasty.

Fantastic, flavorful Thai food. Miserably small wine pours. I seriously thought the waiter was doing a tasting pour.

Unfortunately my husband and I did not have a good experience here. After we ate about an hour after our stomachs were severely boated and in pain all night. We didn’t eat that much. The curry’s were way too spicy as well and we wasted so much money and got sick. They’re nice people that run it but unfortunately the food was not good. It’s the next day and we both have terrible stomach aches.

Food was good. Excellent service. Be sure to ask about spice level as we weren’t asked (and didn’t think to ask), and the green curry was way too spicy ..at least for us and we are ok with spice. Delicious flavors. Small spot so be sure to make a reservation.

FAQs

Portions are generally generous and shareable, many guests describe dishes as plentiful and perfect for sharing family-style. Several guests praised hearty portions of fried rice, whole fish, and mains; a few noted that certain chicken dishes had smaller meat amounts. If you’re sharing plates, you’ll usually have enough to try multiple items, but if someone is worried about a specific dish, ask your server about typical serving size before ordering.

Ayara Thai has a warm, homey, and cheerful atmosphere, guests describe it as a family-run gem with friendly, personal service. The space is casual and unpretentious (not fancy), with focused attention on food and hospitality. When packed it can get lively and a bit noisy; when less busy it feels relaxed and welcoming. Overall, it’s a neighborhood spot loved for its food and staff warmth.

Casual, guests typically dress comfortably. The restaurant lists its dress code as Casual Dress, matching the relaxed, family-style atmosphere described by visitors.

Yes, Ayara is accommodating about dietary needs, spice levels, and celebrations. Guests report the staff handle allergies well, customize spice levels, and help with special dishes like whole branzino. Because the restaurant is popular and reservations can be time-limited (OpenTable notes a 90-minute standard reservation), call ahead to request seating preferences, allergy accommodations, or celebration details so staff can prepare.

The best time is for an early dinner or a weekday seating if you prefer a quieter meal. Ayara is popular at dinner and on weekends, guests repeatedly recommend making reservations to avoid waits. If you want a more relaxed experience, choose an early evening slot or weekdays (avoid prime weekend dinner hours and event nights near the Forum).

Ayara Thai is family-friendly, guests commonly bring families, celebrate birthdays, and dine with teens or young children. The staff are described as warm and accommodating to celebrations and dietary needs. The dining room is cozy with tables fairly close together, so if you need wheelchair-accessible seating or extra space, call ahead to confirm specific accessibility accommodations and request a more comfortable table.

Yes, families frequently dine at Ayara Thai and guests often bring teens or celebrate birthdays with children. The vibe is family-oriented and servers are accommodating, but there isn’t a dedicated kids’ menu mentioned. For younger children, consider an earlier seating and call ahead if you need high chairs or menu flexibility.

Midweek or early-week evenings are the best bet for a quieter experience, try Monday or Wednesday through Thursday evenings for fewer crowds. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, and weekends tend to be busiest, so if you want a relaxed meal and easier reservations, choose a weekday early dinner.

Yes, Ayara Thai is a great pick for date night if you want flavorful, home-style Thai in a casual, welcoming setting. Guests often mention it as a favorite spot for dinners and special nights out (Valentine’s cocktails, celebrations), and staff frequently make meals feel personal and attentive. The space is comfortable rather than ultra-romantic, so it’s ideal for couples who prioritize excellent food and warm service over a formal atmosphere. Consider making a reservation for prime evening times.
