Since 1986 brothers John and Paul Aversano are proud to have served three generations of families within the community, so many of whom have become good friends and loyal customers over the years.. The restaurant presents a simple, sophisticated atmosphere served by a warm and friendly staff offering authentic Southern Italian cooking inspired by the Aversano family roots in the regions of Calabria and Ponza. Aversano’s pizzeria serves award winning traditional New York style pizza as well as calzones, panini and a large menu of take-out meals. Aversano’s also specializes in catering and private parties, on or off premises, and we will work with you to design the perfect menu for your special event and budget and one that your guests will rave about!

Wait service was excellent. Food was delicious. Tender fried calamari for appetizer. Bread and pasta terrific. Very clean. Will definitely be visiting again.

This was the first time my wife and I went to the restaurant. The atmosphere was surprisingly nice. (Outside of the noise) You would never know that you were in a strip shopping center, once inside. There are two rooms, neither of which is too big. (Each probably holds about fifty people.) Unfortunately, all it takes is a few loud people to ruin the atmosphere. New York City streets are quieter in comparison. The food varies by dish. The mozzarela appetizer was very tasty. The Rigatoni with Bolognese was excellent- very flavorful. My wife had the Veal Parmigana. The veal and mozzarela were fresh and high quality. The sauce was bland, for whatever reason. I would recommend going on a weeknight and sticking with pasta dishes.

We love Aversano’s. Generally we takeout and the food/value cannot be beat. This is a moderate priced restaurant. If you are offer specials ($42) that are priced twice the average entree ($18-26) then perhaps the wait staff should provide prices of said specials? Our advice is that if you want to order a special, ask the price!

It was my birthday - and the only restaurant that I wanted to celebrate at was AVERSANOS. I had the Chicken Florentine - one of my favorites and it was so very delicious, along with the Tiramasu. Great food, great service, great environment and great prices.
