   Love this restaurant! Notably, the service was impeccable. The servers were quick, efficient, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with. The food was very good. Just a truly great experience.

   Ours was a bit strange in terms of ambiance... as after pushing back our reservation an hour or so, didn't realize that by the time we got there for dinner Easter Sunday, we'd literally be the only ones in the restaurant (apparently the big rush was for brunch hours). It was my first visit to Avanti, and also my sister's birthday who was visiting from out of town, and we were looking for authentic Italian v. trendy...which have to say, Avanti delivered. Even though we were the only ones in the restaurant, the service and food was really good...and would definitely like to go back when the vibe is also a bit more....festive. But we were hungry and I had the Veal Marsala, which was absolutely on point. Veggies may have been not as fresh as if they were cooking for continuous crowd...but other than that all was excellent. My sister had the veal parmesan, and judging from the fact that she ate it all, was probably a good sign. And top it off, we also enjoyed a nice chat with our waiter who's been there for 25 years (how often does that happen anymore!)...and got some additional tips on the Italian food scene in Phoenix...now that I've relocated here for good.

   There is no better place to bring the family, to dine with friends, a classy date… the food, the service, the ambience altogether make for a wonderful dining experience.

   The Best and most iconic Italian restaurant in Phoenix, in my opinion. My dad knew the original owners in the 1970s. The piano player would play the Godfather theme whenever he walked through the door! They had a dish named after my dad as well. I celebrated my 21st birthday there in 1976. One of the last remaining restaurants around that my dad took me to. I love how the decor has not changed. It is so nice to be able to dine at Avanti and remember my youth and my dad!

    Fabulous little gem of a restaurant! Feels like a step back in time to a wonderful era of hospitality and pride of ownership. The service was top notch and the food delicious.
