Bright and cosy, the interior of Assaggetti is all contemporary comfort, with beige leather covered seating, large oak tables, panels of cheerfully spotted wallpaper and glossy wood flooring reflecting the glow from pretty chandeliers. It’s an appropriate look for the relaxed approach to dining offered by the restaurant, pitching itself as a ‘bites and bar’ venue. Lovely welcome and staff, pretty decor , nice ambiance but very small portions of not-perfect food, overly priced. For that reason only , I would not recommend.

Everything was perfect really good service especially for this time of the year will add it to my little black book of great places to eat. They helped us split the bill individually as well so it was easy to pay off the bill.

The food was fine. The service was terrible from the moment we said we had a reservation to the moment we left. He server was terribly put out to do his job.

Nice place with friendly staff. My main meal was fine, the lasagne my wife had was a bit overcooked and dry. Don't go for basement seating if you want a mobile data signal at the same time. Perfect for pre-theatre dinner situated next to Her Majesty's Theatre.

We chose Assagetti for a pre-theater meal on our recent trip to London. The ambiance is warm and friendly, the food was delicious, and I even got a perfectly made Vodka Martini, sometimes hard to do away from my home city of Chicago.

A quite unremarkable restaurant. For some reason, playing recordings of Bob Marley and Joe Cocker in concert loudly to the empty dining room is the ambience this mid range but poor value Italian is going for. The food was unremarkable, the service distracted and merely adequate. If you want to remember what average and dull restaurants used to be like 15 years ago, it's a must. For anyone who wants to enjoy a night out, avoid.

Just a quick and relatively early lunch (by Italian standards) at midday for a small group of four. Good food to accompany our good conversation. At that time of day, it was pretty quiet so we could actually talk and hear each other -- which isn't always the case at other pizza/pasta chain restaurants. We'll be back.

Lovely staff. Varying dishes. Some people thought their food was lovely, other dishes were just OK. I think pasta is their forte.
