   £30 a head for what I can only be described as the worst buffet ever. Choice of 2 starters, 3 mains, beef was chewy and horrible and the rest was so bland it was dreadful. Staff also forgot about the kids meals and we had to remind them, took over 10 minutes from when we ordered drinks to actually get them. Would never go back to the buffet, overall food dreadful, service poor.

   Service wasn’t great but was quite obvious there were new staff just learning the role. They didn’t know what a fruit shoot was so we assumed they didn’t sell them, however we saw a member of staff delivering them to a table later. Staff not at all knowledgeable on the menu but they did go and find out the answers to our questions later. Booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package but did not feel it was great value for money. Also it only applied to adults staying and not children which seems a bit unfair considering how much children actually eat! Overall not bad but we maybe expected too much given it’s a macdonald hotel.

   The food at Aspects was very nice. All three courses were presented well, with vibrant colours throughout. Despite the aspirations of fine dining, the children's menu was well executed and very tasty. The service was quick and pleasant and small changes were taken care of without fuss.

   Lemon sole dish was delicious but was a small portion for the price. You got half a small fillet of lemon sole too.

   Food was outstanding and the service was amazing. Little bit expensive on the wine side of things. Was a quiet Wednesday so affected the ambiance slightly. But all round a great night.

   My teenage son had the burger and although it was very meaty it was super dry and crumbly. My other son had the kids tomato pasta, we were told it was penne but it was over cooked macaroni. This was tasty but too sweet for a savoury pasta dish. My husband and I both had the steaks which were ordered medium rare, mine was good but unfortunately my husband's was medium well. The drinks and service were great just disappointed with the food especially as it was an expensive meal.

    the restaurant is very amazing, the best in Aviemor. the dishes look aesthetically pleasing and the taste is incredible. the unusual presentation creates a pleasant impression. the staff is friendly and kind. we were left satisfied
