Imagine to be in Peru at a market place with authentic craftsmanship, ceviche made table side at the patio and a more formal fare in the restaurant.

Asi es mi Peru, opened in late 2016 at Paradise Beach Villas by Peruvian-born Roxanna Salinas, features a genuine Peruvian Cevicheria where you can sit at the bar and watch the Chef make ceviche from scratch and to order. The cevicheria also serves Tiradito, a variation of ceviche and reminiscent of Japanese sushi, deliciously marinated with a smoky aji amarillo. The restaurant gazebo features a Peruvian market place where you can buy typical Peruvian crafts with a portion of the proceeds for the Aruba’s Cancer Foundation.

Inside, the restaurant is a more formal dining room featuring the food that made Peru famous: Lomo saltado (a sauteed beef), Aji de Gallina (a creamy chicken dish) and a number of typical preparations you would love.

very cute restaurant and the food was good. I think the price was a bit overpriced for a Peruvian food. Overall 9/10 and highly recommended

Amazing authentic place. Super friendly staff, lovely food and superb Peruvian Malbec. I was dining alone but did not feel alone because of the staff. Would for sure recommend. Loved it

We had the sampler platter main course, calamari, Pisco Sour and dessert sampler platter, all very flavourful and delicious. We sat in the open air section that had lovely fresh soft breeze and sounds of the outdoors. Service was very good. This is the only option of very good quality sit down dinner food nearby that we could find, unfortunately everything else in this area of low rise resorts is: hamburger/pizza/fried food /steak&lobster or high end/$$$$priced. Additionally, they have a gelato spot right next door with gelato/ sorbets, we tried a few other gelato places nearby and this one was our favourite, we found it to taste of fresh fruits purées. They do not have a large sign to advertise the sorbet shop, just look for the PERU restaurant sign and it will be adjacent. Within very short walk across the walking path to Eagle beach and nearby LaCabana & Eagle Resort.

Service was pushy. Didn’t offer my son a kids menu until we were walking out. Food was ok but only stayed for appetizers because service was too pushy and wanted us to order everything at once in an empty restaurant.

This was our second visit and again it was delicious! The apps and entrees were very nicely presented and spiced. I had chicken with pecans. Highly recommend!

Ceviche was excellent as well as pescado a lo macho. Lomo Saltado was not typical and not up to par.

Fantastic food and service. Only negative thing was open table contacted me saying I didn’t show for my reservation which I did. They asked if I showed which I replied I did and they would correct it with restaurant.
