   We just went in for apps and drinks. Food was good but a little greasy and not that served warm, not hot. Ambiance was nice and service was fast and friendly. Nice fireplace that you could sit by.

   Very nice food - I've had a number of dishes from here, with the elk ribs being a particular highlight. I'm fairly regular here, and will continue returning!

   This hotel resto is not much patronized but should be. Fine soups, good lunch mains, not overpriced. And you can talk without shouting!

   Amazing cuisine up until dessert. Creative, tasty, fresh ! A real find ! A bit disappointed by the desserts : very heavy and funny tasting crème brûlée (daring lemon and almond) with mega hard crust of sugar. An ok chômeur pouding. Espresso: not my kind.

   Chef Jason Duffy and his team are consistently creative - Ottawa is lucky to have such a talented chef. Our server on this night was very good but, being a regular customer, I wish that (former??) Arc Lounge server/bartender Amy, who was attentive but made customers feel relaxed, would return so the great food could be matched with great service.

   The evening was top notch. I started with octopus in a BBQ sauce, couscous and pickled hot peppers. It was a good sized starter and the presentation was very well done. Both my wife and I had the Elk Ribs and found them delicious with just the right amount of wild game flavour. The waitress was able to suggest an Argentinian Malbec that suited the main course well. We finished with a cheese plate that had a nice variety of different flavours. Service was attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be back.

   The wine list ran around $65 per bottle. We found one for $35 that lacked body. My friend ordered tuna appetizer followed by duck. The tuna was fried and tasted like KFC. The duck was bland, which is hard for duck to achieve. It was served with peas that had been frozen. I had soup and it was excellent but the elk ribs were over-cooked and served with an ordinary BBQ sauce. We were very disappointed because we were trying to have a special evening.

   The restaurant has a slightly funky modern feel to it without being over the top. Service is quietly efficient and polite and the vibe is relaxed and calm. The food was great. Presentation impressive and the flavours sounded unusual on the menu but worked incredibly well, I have to admit. Enjoyed a great meal there with friends and would recommend but it's not cheap!
