   Last time I was at Apropos, they had run out of menu items and had draft beers that weren't working. Two years later there are still issues with draft beer not available and some menu items not available first seating for dinner. Sort of disappointed.

   Loved the Easter brunch menu. Everything was delicious. The chocolate/peanut butter egg in a nest was amazing and loved the presentation. Hoping some form of it can be worked into the regular menu. The peanut butter mousse filling was so light and the crunch from the nest and sponge layer upon which it sat made it even more delicious.

   Apropos is likely the only food establishment in Peekskill that we hadn’t been to, so my partner and I decided to give it a shot. The food was overpriced and of barely passable quality — my partner and I each got different pasta dishes that we found could have been assembled from local grocery store ingredients within 20 minutes. The portions were rather small, even for my partner, who generally eats less than than I do. The service was very poor — in spite of having a reservation, we were still asked to wait at the bar for 20 minutes; we then had long wait times (~30 mibutes) for our food and the server never refilled our water or came to check on us until we were ready to get the check. This place is fine, but I can think of several others I would have gone to instead.

   We went for our 38th anniversary and during our dessert a young couple sat down at the next table and became engaged! So yes, romance is in the air but I would also come back for a meal any time. Being at the abbey is like “getting away” but also easy and just plain nice.

   Overall, the experience was lackluster and left us unimpressed. The food was under seasoned and over priced. Beyond this our initial appetizer came out wrong, and the fix was not to bring it back to the kitchen; but rather to bring the missing element in a side dish for us to construct. I can’t understand the Michelin Guide recommendation. Sincerely disappointed in meal that we were planning to thoroughly enjoy.

   Great dinner overall. Food was delicious, even though tuna tartar appetizer was on the smaller size. Service was very attentive without being intrusive.

    I've now had dinner 3 times since the new management took over. When there is an event the wait staff is very good but the amount time you wait for your meal is unacceptable. This has now occurred all three times. As a party of 4 we waited 90 minutes for our main course. I have brunch here, which is very good and never have this issue. The management needs to do a better job with planning both events and partially full dining room.
