   I was less than impressed with my last visit to Apolonia. The food was ok. However, what was disappointing was the service. There was no fluidity to the service we received. Food and drink trickled out of the kitchen/bar whenever it was ready. I sat without a drink for a good 10 mins after my date got here. Then her food arrived before mine even though she had a salad and raw fish. It didn’t seem like we had a waitress. Two people served us badly, a waitress and a manger, they we both absent for long periods of time. I won’t race back to Apolonia.

   I didn’t care for the service, they were unhelpful and snotty. Did not come back to check on us, had to be chased around for the check, the one time they came back to check on how the food was, we had very clearly just been served and had not tried it yet

   The chef’s experience featured 5 dishes. The first 3 courses featured the same spicy red sauce leading to similar taste profiles. Service was average and gave the impression of being under or short staffed. Being close to the McCormick convention is a plus.

   Food was very good, very flavorful. The pasta with sausage was excellent as was the branzino. Service was very good until the end when we waited forever for a dessert that we asked for twice but still never received.

   Great food but terribly disappointing service. I think the restaurant got busy and our waitress disappeared for long periods.
