   Very poor experience on a Sunday afternoon. Waited almost an hour for the food to come even though there was maybe only 3 other tables occupied. The food arrived cold and very bland in an excessive amount. The staff were nice enough but no one really seemed to know what was going on and were very unorganised. We had to request a menu after being seated and when we had any questions about the food and drink, they couldn’t answer anything without ‘going to check’ first. A lot of improvement needed. The free drinks were not enough compensate for a wasted afternoon.

   After visiting Derwent manor a few times now, this time I was very disappointed. The service was overall really poor, was asked after my starter if I would like dessert. Then when mains arrived were left chasing staff for cutlery which resulted in our food becoming cold. Granted you had your Mother’s Day events on but in future, don’t allow normal reservations to be made, as quite clearly it will result in disappointment if you can’t cope with how busy it will be. Should never affect service or food when you’re busy.

   Really good place to eat. Varied menu- step up from bar food really. Well cooked (I had the red mex loaded fries) and ok value. Service very good- friendly and prompt. Dog friendly and welcomed with a water bowl
