   Great great great food! Service was good too! Lighting needs to be dimmed a bit tongelp te ambiance, other than that pricing a few pennies high, but food was absolutely amazing.

   Awesome food, try the coconut naan, probably the best I've had. Great Kabobs also.

   An excellent Tibetan (Indian related and similar) foodery. Had two wonderful meals here on a business trip to Oakland. Highly recommend it. Nice, well-varied, menu. Great service, lots of on-street parking. Reasonable prices.

   The food was really bad at this restaurant. It was a Saturday afternoon, and you'd think they would put out their best. But, the ingredients were stale and the food arrived so slow without justifying the taste/freshness of it. Their service was slow and the waiters were inattentive. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

   When we got there, they apparently did not have our OpenTable reservation. We had to wait an hour to be seated. We had plans at 10:00pm so we made our reservation at 8:30pm. This gave us enough time to eat and enjoy our time at the restaurant. After talking to the Host, there was a table available for us. After 20min no one had cleared it. When we talked to a busboy, he had no idea someone was waiting for the table. By 9:45 our food had not arrived but we had been seated for 15min without receiving our drinks or silverware. Once the food arrived, we still had no plates, forks, knives or napkins. The Nan arrived 10min after the food arrived. Non of the platers had serving utensils. The food while not bad is not great either. It's tasty, but not exceptional. This was supposed to be a fun family dinner, and while we found a way to see the good, everyone was hungry and annoyed after waiting for so long. While you could see that the servers where trying to do their best, they were overwhelmed. No one was communicating and they were all over the place.

   Annapurna is a charming Nepalese/Indian restaurant that took over the old Breads of India/Oakland space. Note that it's a hard space to heat with tall ceilings; chilly inside in our current cold weather. But the welcome from the staff is warm and genuine. The naan is soft and excellent; the lamb mo-mo's a must for lamb lovers. The free yellow lentil soup is thin but well-spiced (not chiles, but curry spices) so it was a perfect starter on a cold night. The Aloo Cauliflower needed a sprinkle of salt to bring out the tasty seasoning - note the "mild" is still a bit spicy. The Goat Curry (Kashi Kho Masu, I believe) is quite hot - about a 6 on our personal scale of 10. Rice is very good, chai is outstanding - no stinting on the expensive spice blend, unlike many places!

   Attentive service and interesting menu with Nepalese specialties. Greatest pleasure is the outstandingly low ambient noise level of the high-ceilinged dining area.

   My wife and I Took our dear friend to dinner last week. We had a bottle of Chardonnay and pakoras as appetizers, it was very good, although the wine would have been better chilled. Not sure if they have customers that order wine there. We ordered our main dishes, the service was excellent and the food was really good. Just the right amount of spice. We ordered two different kinds of Naan, garlic and stuffed. We had a great dining experience and will definitely be going there for more.

   I've spent a lot of time in Nepal and I really enjoyed this restaurant. Food and service are both excellent.
