   as always, andrew edmunds provides the perfect evening. delicious food, excellent wine (with useful suggestions on pairing), and the perfect light touch, but friendly and attentive service. never fails in providing an evening that makes you feel better about life when you leave

   This is a gem of a restaurant. The food is very good, the wine list exceptional (and good value given the location). Service is warm, and the ambiance really lovely.

   Fantastic evening and everything we had hoped it would be. Excellent value, great atmosphere and quality straight forward well cooked food. Excellent wine choices available too!

   I've been coming to this restaurant for about 30 years and it never disappoints. The food and service are excellent, but the remarkable thing is the atmosphere. It is full of London literary types / movers and shakers/ exuberant vicars, who can be quite loud, but are very entertaining! The whole experience is unpretentious, no trendy gimmicks, just excellent classic food and friendly service. It's not formal at all, so no need to dress up unless you want to. There will probably be a loudish buzz, but that is the point of this restaurant. Cosy, homely decor. Great experience all round. Prices reasonable for this part of London. Superior wine list, and you get a decent-sized pour, not a stain on the bottom of the glass!

    Absolutely delightful find. We dined here following a recommendation from a friend. So impressed. Food was excellent and a comprehensive wine list. Service was spot on and we will be returning. Recommended
