El restaurante Andina se inspira en las tradiciones culinarias nativas de Perú, así como en la cocina contemporánea de algunos de los chefs más importantes de Perú. Su propietario, Doris Rodríguez de Platt, colabora con el equipo de cocina del Andina para crear un menú que homenajea las raíces andinas de su familia, entretejiendo las ideas y técnicas de la cocina criolla y novoandina. En la cocina se utilizan ingredientes locales y nativos para crear platos con raíces tradicionales y de inspiración personal. El Andina, fundado en 2003, surgió como uno de los principales restaurantes peruanos de la región y continúa generando un gran atractivo dentro de las comunidades culinarias de Portland y sus alrededores, así como en países más lejanos.

                          A special meal for sure! We wanted to celebrate our anniversary before all the restaurants in Portland closed. Andina did not disappoint!

                          Plates are lovely and prepared nicely. Service is perfect. Noise was outrageous. Seated near large round table of men, several chose to scream as a means of social dining communication.

                          One of the two women sitting at the closest table next to us was foul-mouthed constantly swearing. Otherwise a great dinner.

                          The food, ambience, and service made the evening very special. Next time we will order twice as much of some of the dishes because my 5-year old granddaughter ate most of the beets. yucca, and prawns all on her own. The servers were very good about advising us quantities and spices. Next time I will take other adults who are more careful about sharing!
