   We went to Amelia’s because I was told there would be live jazz music by the French Horn Collective. That’s not what we got. The place is a different vibe for the Kendall area and the food and service was good. Prices on high side.

   It started really nice , food was good . Kitchen was closing and we were pressured to order fast , then waiter wanted to close bill cause happy hpur was about to start … music was then turned really loud and we werent able to even talk . I asked the waiter if it could be lowered a little and instead they increased the volume so we left …

   This place is a hidden gem! The food is amazing and the service was exceptional. Every plate we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavor. I’ll definitely be returning!

   The food was amazing. We trusted the waiter and ordered the special which was grouper and it was amazing. My husband who doesn't like Brussel sprouts ate all of it. The cucumber and avocado salad was delicious. We even got the yuka mash and it was really good. Everything was so good and it feels like you travel back in time with the decor.

   Amelia is a nice restaurant for a casual date, special occasion or just because. The music is good and not so loud. The food is very tasty and the menu is limited. I ordered Lomo Saltado and my husband ordered Short Ribs. When the waiter came with the food, they just placed the plate in front of us and we started eating. Mind you, the lights are dim since its supposed to be an speakeasy. While we were eating we realized mine was not lomo and his was not short ribs. I ended eating ox- tail and and my husband ate my lomo. Food was good so we didn’t make a complaint but not what we ordered. I also noticed that the table was not cleaned after we ate the appetizer. I had to clean the plates to make room for the main course. This is our second time eating at Amelias and we will come again but this time I will double check our food when ordering and when is brought to the table. Thanks.

   Everything was excellent!!!! My flounder was probably the best I’ve ever had, a huge chunk, too. The yuca mash so unique and delicious, and the green beans were perfection. We were both pleased with literally every item. Also, the place is very quaint and chic. The band was great and played at a reasonable level.
