   One of the best soul food spots I've been to food was outstanding flavor in every bite .. service was great definitely will return soon

   The fried pork chops were bland and not worth the hour long wait after being seated. The Mac and cheese was good but not as especially outstanding, as they pride themselves. No complaints about the candied yams. While I did not order it, I would have been interested in the peach cobbler and ice cream if it had not been priced at $10.00. I rate this restaurant as mediocre at best for quality and not worth the money. The physical appearance of the dining area was a positive but the clientele was there for comfort food and not upscale dining and the noise level was uncomfortable and made it impossible to have a conversation with a person across the table from me without raising my voice. I don’t see myself returning for a second visit.

   Had the turkey leg with Mac and yams! 10/10. I’ve been to a lot of places around the world but this is definitely a gem for a small city!

   My wife and I went for dinner on Saturday night at 6 pm. Luckily we made reservations as they were full we we got there a few minutes early. We waited by the front door which was a little odd as there was a full service bar in the next room. The menu is fairly straightforward with limited choices on a one page menu, which we admire. We started with the jerk chicken wings which which came out quickly and were very good. My wife ordered the soul food platter with jerk chicken which comes with candy yams and Mac and cheese. No substitute on the sides. I ordered the white meat fried chicken with sides of dirty rice and collard greens so we could share the sides. The Mac and cheese was outstanding along with the dirty rice and collard greens. We both enjoyed the chicken but thought the jerk chicken was shredded too finely and could have used a little more sauce on the side. Service was good and atmosphere was relaxed. The chef seemed to be in control and paid attention to details. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back.

   The food was amazing! The staff was friendly and the cook is such a sweetheart! I love it I will definitely be back
