As always, our Alvin’s experience was excellent. The collard greens are actually better, which is a tall order. I plan on coming back in a few short weeks.

Went for Sunday Brunch and the food was very good. They had a jazz band and they too was very good. Will definitely go back and for brunch again and the wife and I are looking forward possibly trying their dinner menu.

I took my boyfriend to Alvin & Friends for his Birthday dinner. The place and art work was beautiful! The staff was super friendly and attentive. ALL of the food was Amazing! The Cornbread was so moist and Delicious! We had the Fried Green Tomatoes for an appetizer, I had the Bourbon Glazed Pork Chop with Rice and Peas and Sauteed Veggies and my boyfriend had the Fried Catfish with Grits and Black Eyed Peas, everything was sooo good! Towards the end of our meal, the owner Alvin came over to our table to ask us how our dinner was and to thank us for coming. That was so thoughtful and impressive you seldom get that type of service at restaurants these days. I HIGHLY recommend Alvin & Friends and we will be back!

Such a classy place. Delicious Caribbean/Southern food and drink, excellent service, attractive decor, friendly clientele. An unannounced jazz trio played during the brunch--the musicians were talented and high level--and the volume was pleasantly perfect. I came alone and appreciated that Alvin of the big beautiful smile greeted me personally on the way in and again on the way out. Can't wait to go there again.
