Alo is an intimate contemporary French restaurant located atop a heritage building in downtown Toronto. Our cuisine is internationally inspired and celebrates the finest in seasonal ingredients paired with a genuine sense of welcome, served as a blind tasting menu by Chef Patrick Kriss.

The Bar at Alo is adjacent to our main dining room and offer à la carte options as well as a shortened seasonal tasting menu.

Alo is outfitted with a private dining room which can welcome parties up to 14 guests.

    Join us in our dining room for a new tasting menu that features the best ingredients we can source. Our menu is internationally inspired and prepared using classic French technique. We are currently unable to accommodate tasting menus for the following, either by substitution or omission of individual dishes or ingredients: allergies or aversions to dairy, eggs, seafood, soy, alliums, as well as vegan and vegetarian diets. Advance notice of all other dietary restrictions is strongly recommended to ensure that they can be accommodated. The tasting menu is currently offered at $225 per guest and does not include beverages, service charge and tax. Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance will be charged the full price of the tasting menu per guest.

    Alo's private dining room, equipped with its own bar and kitchen, offers a six-course tasting-menu for up to 14 guests. This unique dining experience begins with a cocktail reception featuring a glass of sparkling wine and a trio of canapés. The pricing for this experience is $295 per guest exclusive of beverages, HST & 20% service charge. Wine pairings are available for an additional $125 per guest. Our private dining room is also available to be booked for lunches.                       The food and service was excellent. Had a great view of the kitchen which my wife really enjoyed. We were celebrating her birthday and they went out of their way to make it special. I would recommend for the special experience that Alo provides. Thank you.

                      Food was amazing but it was over 4 hours for 4 of us, seemed far too long. On Alo website it states table is only reserved for 3 hours. Not sure how they hit that window given we were 4 hours.

                      This was the best dining experience of my life. I took my daughter as her 19th birthday present and we sat at the chef’s table. Watching the chefs work was mesmerizing. The attention to detail and skill is incredible. The food was so unique and delicious. The flavours and textures are perfectly balanced and overwhelm the palate in the best possible way. The service is second to none. You feel like the entire staff want you to have the best experience and they take the time to talk to you in a personal way. Special shout out to Markus, Sabrina and of course Christopher the sommelier never disappoints. Everything about the experience was perfect and completely exceeded my daughter’s expectations. It was a special night. Thank you to everyone at alo for a wonderful experience.
