   Friendly staff, but took a while for food to arrive. Had to give a few reminders for for water, etc.

   We would rate it as just okay. There were things that were good and things that were not so great. The good: Brandy Old Fashions (muddled fruit, not a mix) and tender filet mignon. The not so great; overcooked vegetables and rolls that were hards and very dry.

   My wife and I like to try different restaurants and we had never been to Allgauer's so we decided to give it a try. We made an afternoon reservation for lunch at Allgauer's for 1pm. At some point I tried rescheduling for 1:30 through the app but with no success. I then called the restaurant but I kept getting the answering machine. I left a couple of messages letting them know that I wanted to change my reservation. I even left a number for them to call me back to let me know they got the message. Never got a reply. My wife and I decided to just go. But when we got there they were closed. According to their hours of operation, they didn't have a lunch service. Why wasn't this noted in the app? Why was I able to get a notification from Allgauer's accepting my reservation if they didn't have lunch service that day? Very disappointed.

   The food on the buffet was cold, prime rib was okay. Will not go back for this.

    The restaurant was severely understaffed. I waited at the host stand for 15 minutes and had no contact with any employees. I had to ask the bartender three times where the host was. When we were finally seated, the service was very spotty. I had to basically beg for refills on my fish. I have been here several times and this was definitely an off night. Hopefully, I have a better experience the next time I go.
