   Josh was our waiter, can't say enough about him. We had a table of eight for Easter Sunday, very attentive and informative about the menu. First time and great experience, would recommend and will definitely go back!

   new spring menu. fewer shared plates and more entrees. our party had 3 different seafood dishes, which were all excellent. shared a small salad that was huge. excellent heart of palm appetizer. patient friendly service. one of the desserts, a blueberry compote on a sponge cake was surprisingly disappointing. the cake was dry and not spongy and the blueberries meager and tasteless. excellent italian wine at a reasonable price.

   Nicely varied menu options with “shareable” as the buzzword. This allowed us to learn about the breadth of their menu at our first dinner there. Well presented by efficient staff. We will be back!

   Let me begin by saying the food and service was very good. When we walked in I felt like I was entering a really big city restaurant. High ceilings and great lighting. Then the hostess took us to the back room. We felt like we were being relegated to the kids table at Christmas! Low ceilings and dark. Maybe great for a large party and private dining but was not impressed. Disappointed We will definitely go back but I will refuse to sit in that room.

   First time at Alara. The food was fantastic as was the service. A bit pricey but if you’re looking for fabulous food, this is the place.

   Table for 4. All of the food was good. Failure on service. First round of drinks were slow to come out; second round even slower. Took over 50 minutes for our entrees to arrive after placing order. To management’s credit, they did take responsibility and comped our meals. Appreciated. It was the right thing to do. Alara positions itself as a fine dining establishment. Long way to go to meet that higher standard.

   We really enjoyed the ambiance. Shannon provided excellent service. We were impressed with her memory, knowledge of all of the food and ability to give great recommendations when asked about different menu options. The shareables and entrees were beautifully presented and very tasty. The heart of palm cakes and arugula salad were highlights.

   Greeting staff was excellent, clean bathrooms and seated on time. Our server Mark was knowledgable and attentive. They handled food allergies better than any place I have been, very accommodating. Our meals were excellent, and the ambience was perfect. This place is a hidden gem and I look forward to going back soon.

    I chose Alara to celebrate my husbands birthday and we were joined by another couple. Alara is a fine dining restaurant with beautiful but simple decor. Our server Josh was excellent. He took the time to go over the menu and wine selection. Our dinner orders consisted of the Chilean sea bass, scallops, filet, lobster mac-n-cheese and shareable of the green beans and the carrots. The dinners were beautifully plated, prepared perfectly and were delicious. This was our first visit to Alara and we will definitely be back. Thank you for helping to make my husband’s birthday extra special.
