We welcome you to join us for lunch or dinner on a walk-in basis. We do not accept reservations and we only sit complete parties. We do have a large communal table with space up to 15ppl for any larger party walk-ins. We are looking forward to serving you!
We are proud to open our second location outside of Japan. Reasons abound for us to introduce our style of ramen to the Rose City, however Portland offered us something no other US city could; soft water from a pure source within close proximity.
Much like Mt. Hood, the Afuri mountain in Japan has long been revered as a sacred place of harvest; the unique geography creates ideal spring water, perfect for ramen making.
Portland’s ecosystem produces nearly identical beautiful water to that of our Japan locations. This water quality combined with the bounty of Pacific Northwest local farms & producers, allows us to create the highest quality ramen and Japanese cuisine available.

The food just wasn’t good. Bland ramen, no spice, the sushi roll was pathetic for how expensive it was. They were out of 4 of their ramen options. I won’t be going back.

Great first experience. Our server Emily was amazing. We left the dinner selection to her and she did not disappoint. Energy was great, food was great and drinks were exceptional. We will be back to visit Emily.

Great restaurant! The ramen bowls were excellent especially the spicy ones like yuzu ratan and tsukemen. The appetizers were delicious; we had the fried chicken thighs, gyoza dumplings and kanpachi carpaccio. The salmon nigiri was also great but the sake and afuri rolls were chewy and lacked flavor. The Endomame cocktails were stellar. Would definitely return and try the dishes they were out of, namely the wagyu tartare and the tonkotsu tantanmen.

Took 40 min for our app (meatballs) to arrive and another 10 min after that for our two ramen bowls to show up with cold eggs. They sent out a seaweed salad as an apology and cited limited waitstaff as the reason for slow service but there were two tables near us who arrived after us, ate, and received their bill as we finally got our ramen. We didn't complain as I want to be compassionate, but the restaurant was maybe 30% full with mainly diners who had already received their entrees when we placed our order so I think our order was either misplaced or somehow 4 meatballs caused a 40 minute delay.

Good ramen but somewhat tepid in warmth. Might have been out on the counter too long. From time one orders to the delivery to the table is too long. Have had tastier ramen at other Japanese Restaurants.

Not the same quality or service as the original East side location. Food was ok but underwhelming . Service wasn’t great, it took 50 minutes to get ramen and the restaurant was only 30% full. Not with the $$

Enjoyed the staff service very much. It's too bad I forgot the name of the girl that was helping us. She has really short blond and bluish bangs if I remember correctly and super nice.
