   It was ok… not amazing the sandwiches were a bit dry and we were the only ones in the room but there was a wedding on in another area so was quite loud

   Scones appeared a little stale. Staff were nice but no offer of different teas. Nice room to sit in. A staff member walked through room with an empty dirty bin.

   Enjoyed our afternoon tea however when booking make sure that you stipulate the type of afternoon tea you’d like. I wasn’t aware that the ‘special requests’ section was for specifying if I wanted a vegetarian option. Thankfully my sister would have only preferred the vegetarian option rather than it being a dietary requirement. The online menu also needs updating as the sandwiches were different on the menu to what we received. Overall the food was good and the atmosphere peaceful. Menu just needs updating and more clarity on booking.

   Would not recommend at all from start to finish it wasn’t great they sent out salmon sandwich’s which my mum is highly allergic to and then said they had a menu change which it still doesn’t state on the net or anywhere in side. Then we waited over half an hour for them to bring out replacement sandwiches just the salmon ones they removed from the plate. It was all shop brought food and none was what it states on their web page. The staff member who served us literally threw our pot of tea on the table and when I asked what other flavour teas there was she literally just pointed to the bar at the back then walked off. Once finished the few bites we did have they kept us sat for 35 minutes before I had to go and find a staff member.

   Lovely sandwiches and cake. The scones and macarons did seem shop bought, but they were no less lovely. The service was impeccable. We were the only ones in there, but they were attentive without being pushy

   1) my reservation was not in their system and they had to scramble to get things organized 2) only one scone was provided instead of the requisite two. Two of the desserts had nuts in them, despite my mentioning I had a nut allergy, and the service was minimal. 3) the sandwiches were good and there were four of them, which was the only redeeming part of the tea.
