   As it was our wedding anniversary we decided to have high tea! The food and service was ok, the noise levels were shocking with a Nigerian wedding in the next room! The atmosphere was very nice but was spoilt by noise! The service charge is outrageous 12.5% and quite ridiculous for an afternoon tea! I would not recommend it to a friend!

   The staff was so friendly and service was spectacular! This was a last minute reservation and I’m so happy I made it!

   It was my mums 60th Birthday celebrations, she was blown away with the surprise. We booked afternoon tea with Champagne. They added a extra special touch when she was presented with a beautiful cake complete with candle and happy birthday iced on a slate! The staff were so friendly and gave us plenty of time and made us feel very comfortable. Definitely looking forward to visiting again!

   We had a fabulous afternoon. The whole experience completely exceeded my expectations. The food was gorgeous, champagne plentiful. The harpist set a lovely ambiance. The staff were great !

   We went to the Waldorf Hilton in London on Saturday 12th March for Afternoon tea. Over the years we have been to over thirty hotels and restaurants for afternoon tea and I can say with some confidence that this was unfortunately the worst we have ever sat through. The sandwiches were anaemic and the scones microwaved and rock hard. By the time the ‘winter cakes’ arrived with what seemed to be a very Christmas theme (weird for mid March) I realised that it was possible that these cakes were actually leftover from Christmas. Totally inedible and stale. This was all pointed out to our waitress / restaurant manger and she very kindly removed the optional service charge from our bill. A gesture so empty it was insulting. I even had to explain that what she was doing as an apology was just something I could do myself. I am truly saddened that a hotel where I have had so many excellent experiences in the past has let it’s standards slip so badly. Very very disappointed.

   Our afternoon tea experience was absolutely outstanding. The food was nice, the team was superb. Professional, polite and helpful. I must highlight loana the manager and Courtney the waitress who took brilliant care of us. Fantastic team. We received high value hospitality from them. Thank you again!

   Service was superb! Food very sparse and had to pay extra for three fingers of sandwiches (£10). Cream for the scone was non-existent and based on the price of the afternoon tea in general was expecting a slight abundance of fare. Champagne was lovely as was the accompanying music (Harpist). We left feeling slightly underwhelmed and picked up some food at the theatre in order to fill the gap. Definitely not worth £270…sadly!

   My daughter and I went for winter afternoon treat as a Christmas treat and was very disappointed. I’ve been to many establishments in London for afternoon tea and this place did not compare. Staff were polite but service very slow and not very attentive. No spoons on the table so had to take from another table because staff took so long to bring some. Same with requests for water, milk, bill etc. I ordered a cocktail upon arrival and after two rounds of tea and having eaten the sandwiches I cancelled it. It still eventually arrived and to their credit, staff did not charge for it. The food wasn’t great, three small finger sandwiches with hardly any filling, three coin sized open sandwiches, four tiny cakes and two small scones. The tea was warm at best. Food tasted ok but nothing special. No replenishments were offered, unlike other venues I’ve been to. It’s the the only time I’ve been for afternoon tea and felt hungry afterwards. The room was decorated lovely and the harpist was pleasant, overall it could have been so much better.

    Very very quite no atmosphere at all apart from a Harpist. The Tea had changed to a new more expensive menu since I had booked it, but I wasn’t notified of this. 3 Very average sandwiches and 3 ‘tiny’ mouth bites. Cakes were better but a couple of them had cracked icing on and again quite bland really nothing to cheer about. All in all 2nd time there and would go again.
