Steeped in history, Langtry Manor is one of the most romantic and idyllic hotels set amidst the tree lined streets of the East Cliff, offering all the elegance of a country retreat yet just a short stroll from the heart of Bournemouth and the sea. Built in 1877 by the Prince of Wales, later to become King Edward VII, for his mistress Lillie Langtry the house is unique in Bournemouth. Designed by Lillie herself and executed in the style of a Victorian country house it retains many of its original features - carved fireplaces, mullioned windows, original tapestries etc. Our magnificent Dining Salon, where you will be surrounded by the splendour Lillie and her beloved Prince once enjoyed, offering freshly prepared dishes to suit all tastes. A relaxing drawing room and bar, in which to enjoy a drink or afternoon tea, Langtry Manor provides the perfect haven.

Lovely and beautiful character building, afternoon tea was lovely, all portions just right, a very small portion of everything is perfect. Scones were delicious 10/10! I will definitely be coming back again soon

It was my mum's birthday, so this is why we had afternoon tea here. The food was fantastic, however there was not much choice for somewhere to sit and I was abit disappointed we could not sit near a window to take in the scenery.

the afternoon tea sandwiches were not fresh,as they were still cold from being in the fridge,also the scones were rather stale.overall very bad for such a lovely hotel.We got married there in 2014,it was so much better.

The food had just come from the fridge so cold it tasted of nothing. The tea pot lid would not open so unable to stir the tea. The cake was stale. The clotted cream was so cold it would not spread, and a very minimal amount. This was a birthday gift to me and I feel it was very poor. There was no service at all nobody .

this was our 3rd time of visiting for afternoon tea...........have not been for a couple of years since the last one............wasn't disappointed..........top marks as always. We have had afternoon tea at the RITZ before....................but Langrtys far far better. Highly recommend.

Amazing afternoon tea :). Wonderful environment, ambienece and the food was so good! Our waitress was so lovely, nothing too much trouble for her. Definitely coming back!!! Xxx

Would highly recommend. Beautiful place to have afternoon tea. It was all perfect. Great service & the cakes & sandwiches were very nice. I often go for afternoon tea with my mum as a treat, this was the best so far.

The afternoon tea was of an average standard, no complaints it just lacked a wow factor. The area and the service were both excellent
