   If you are an adventurous and flexible foodie, then by all means you should try this charming little restaurant. The limited menu of Thai street food" is unlike anything I have consumed at any other Thai restaurant. Perhaps it is more authentic and thus very unappealing to my 50+ Western palate? (The menu is to be expanded in the fall.) We chose to sit upstairs on the roof -- it was pleasant dining en plein aire; there's a view of KU Med construction and some street noise. We were seated on wire benches at a Playskool quality table. The staff members earnestly explained the socially conscious food sources, and they patiently entertained our questions about ingredients unfamiliar to us. Hubby had a beef curry (looked like a slice from a can of meaty dog food on top of a molded circlet of rice) which he said was good. I had the chicken, which was a pile of coarsely ground meat cooked in a very salty and unappealing spice blend. I could only down a couple of bites (but hubby liked it). I was disappointed in the lack of veggies -- both dishes consisted of just rice and meat. It was fun to venture back to 39th St. and reminisce about our young adult years when Cafe Allegro operated in this same spot. Those were the days!

   Great Thai food and I think it's the best in Kansas City. The owner stopped by to check in... which was very nice to hear about food preparation and dish creations. I highly recommend this wonderful Thai restaurant! Thanks for the great service and wonderful food. Gilbert Kansas City

   Finally made it to this authentic gem! Diverse, and interesting, small menu. Had minor glitch with one dish, but flavors amazing! Bartender/waiter was SO helpful and timely. Outdoor patio upstairs may be getting busier as season evolves... Will definitely return! Not your 'typical' KC Thai restaurant for sure!

   We Loved everything about this place! Wonderful flavor in the food, great variety on a small menu, & friendly and helpful service. Great value! Beautiful deck on the roof! Good local beer. We ate every bite and we were too full to try dessert. We will return and will have to try it then.

    it was a lovely restaurant. I wish there was an awning or something to make more notice from the street. enhance the "curb appeal" to get more customers.
