Acadia is a two star Michelin restaurant in Chicago's South Loop Neighborhood. Most roots come from classic American, French and Italian influences. Seafood and shellfish products will mostly be sourced from the area in Maine where Chef McCaskey spent his summers, but also which happens to be a source to some of the highest quality shellfish in the world.

Acadia currently is only offering an à la carte menu on our new, beautiful sidewalk patio. All reservations for al fresco dining are weather-permitting. If inclement weather occurs, you are welcome to reschedule, availability permitting. If it rains during the duration of dining experience, we will package your meal to-go for you. Currently, we are restricting dining time to 2 hours per party.

They were closers! Drove two hours only to find out they have been closed for quite sometime. Why are they still accepting reservations on Open Table?!?!?!

The Maine-inspired menu was AMAZING! We ordered a Spanish cheese and ham platter and east coast oysters for appetizers. The oysters were huge and delicious. I order the lobster pot pie for dinner and my husband ordered the steak frites. Everything on our plates was delicious. Acadia always brings it and never disappoints. We learned from our waitress that they are going to be closed for some restaurant renovations! We look forward to returning (hopefully soon) for a dinner inside the newly renovated space.

While visiting my younger sister, a Chicago resident, I wanted to treat her to an early dinner out. Fortunately Acadia was up and running with a sweet paradise escape of a patio. The food was casual and delicious. The service was good- however we did feel as though the server may have forgotten us once or twice, and we were not asked if we had any allergies or sensitivities. Beverages were well-priced and tasty. Overall a pleasant experience...a welcome mini-respite from the world's chaos.

Small patio seating and limited menu due to Covid-19. The food was nicely done and tasty but again, choice was small. The cheeseburger was excellent as was the lobster roll. I hope the restaurant survives the restrictions of the pandemic as I would love to eat here when full service and Michelin Star food returns.

Outdoor patio a wonderful way to enjoy items from the bar food menu (in the old days when indoor bar and restaurant open and both menus were exceptional). Some street traffic noise, but that is part of urban location. I read that Acadia is closing for a month starting the 10th or so, I look forward to whatever creative adaptation the chef comes up with in September for this very different dining out times.

Acadia never disappoints. Once you set your reservation date/time, you wait in excited anticipation of your dining experience with thoughts of flavors on your palate and artful presentation laid before you. Patio redo...spot on. The size, lights, plants, tiki torches while providing a bit of privacy from the street. Cocktails to go.....super fun idea. The Bartenders have always been masterful mixologists. I am grateful a restaurant of this caliber settled into the South Loop so long ago and continues to thrive and impress it's patrons local and afar.

Acadia is a great fine dining neighborhood spot. We ate on the newly created patio outside the front door. It is a relatively quiet street, but next to a dog park so be prepared for the occasional barks. However, the design and landscaping of the space really made me feel like I was someplace more serene. There is a smaller menu than before, but we had a nice variety of dishes and cocktails. I had the lobster "pot pie" and my husband had the steak fries, and both were delicious. We also enjoyed their creative use of edible flowers - now my husband is trying to grill dill flowers. I am glad the restaurant is back open and wish them the best.
