A Room in Leith Seafood and Game Bistro Bar's critically acclaimed restaurant, located at 1A Dock Place, serves Scottish delicacies in Edinburgh’s famous Leith. The varied menu includes mallard breast, hake fillet and sirloin surf and turf and A Room in Leith prides itself on serving up locally and responsibly sourced fish. Open since 2008, the restaurant has a wide selection of wines, beers and cocktails and is commended by diners. Situated near the Water of Leith the restaurant is a nine minute walk from the Ocean Terminal and a sixteen minute drive from Edinburgh Waverley station.
For a group of 30 guests or more we can open specially for you on Monday to Thursday.
Our bar is open 7 days a week.

We ordered the seafood platter plus 6 oysters to share among 3 and it was just right, all the items were very fresh. Environment is warm and homely. Came on a weekday and it was busy!

Lovely warm welcome to us both - even though we were 10 mins late. Sat at a nice table by the back door. Nice and light. Ambiance was great, filled with people having a good meal and conversation. We had the seafood platter which was more than enough for us - went away with full bellies. All in all a great visit and couldn't recommend more.

We had a lovely lunch for two and unusually for us had 3 courses because the food was so nice. We started with cullen skink and scallops which were both very well executed and delicious. Then we both had seafood risotto which was very tasty and just cooked enough. Then we had cheese and crackers which was 2 good sized wedges of cheese in perfect condition. The service and ambience were really relaxed and friendly. All in all a very nice meal at a very good price. We really liked this place and will definitely go again.

Had dinner there with my husband and my little boy on Friday night and it was amazing. The food was lovely and the service was perfect! The waitress was so attentive to my little boy. The location of the restaurant is so nice. I can’t wait to go back and try more things on the menu
