   Yesterday was my birthday and my friend took me to 888 for lunch. It was like being in Italy with the beautiful ambience and pace to enjoy conversation and outstanding food. Every dish was outstanding in the quality and preparation from the Caesar salad with delicate calamari, beet salad with pine nuts, sautéed salmon and shrimp with vegetables, eggplant rigatoni and desserts! The cheesecake was so smooth and light and my friend raved about the chocolate caramel ice cream with a drizzle of ‘off the hook’ olive oil.. So, for amazing high quality authentic Italian fare in an environment that may remind you of your last time in Luca, Italy, go here, slow down for an hour, and be transported

   I came in for lunch on a random weekday. It was lovely, so we sat outside. The waiter was friendly, capable, and take good care of us. It's largely due to him that this is a 3-star review, since the food was a letdown. The bread was good, as was the olive oil, as you'd expect at an Italian restaurant. My companions and I ordered the pasta Bolognese, the lasagna, and ravioli with cheese and spinach in a sage butter sauce. The Bolognese was the standout, as evidenced by the fact that my companion finished it down to practically licking the plate. The lasagna and ravioli, however, were lackluster. The lasagna was bland and unstructured, basically noodles with some sauce and cheese on top. The ravioli were swimming in butter. Not good for the arteries and not tasty, either. Given the meh food, I won't be back soon.

   This is one of our favorites. We are locals and have many choices. This is an elegant but not stuffy restaurant. The staff is lovely

   The food was delicious it never disappoints. Their specials are fabulous. Their service is fantastic they really take care of of you and make every experience special. One of my favorite places.

   We were lucky to get a table inside, as our reservation was for outside & it was a chilly night. They were so accommodating for us, as the small restaurant was full. The food & service were great. I had a special entree of shrimp & scallops with cherry tomatoes and a white wine sauce, which was delicious. My husband had a ribeye steak which was beautifully well seasoned. We shared a creme brûlée for dessert, which was so delicious. We’ll certainly be going back again!!

   The staff was excellent great atmosphere and really enjoyed the food. The server even tracked down a half a bottle of Brunello for me.

   Everything was delicious, the service was impeccable. I loved their special attention to my gluten-free needs. Their gluten-free bread was totally outstanding, and I loved my chicken piccata with gluten-free pasta! They offered really different wines by the glass, which was refreshing. This is a restaurant that is lovingly attended to by its owner and chef. Exactly what I want in a restaurant pretty much all the time, but especially when I want to connect with friends over a calming dinner.

    A cozy neighborhood restaurant where the food is consistently good . Attentive service and a welcoming ambiance.
