   First time there food was delicious it’s a casual atmosphere sports bar Packers and Brewers on all TVs. I’ll go back me and my hubby

   Weird concept....no menus, just tell them whatever you want. Aside from the fact that you have to ask about prices (and that seems so rude), you don’t get to experience anything creative or new. We just ordered burgers, which were good, but it just felt so off. Not sure I’d go back. Also, no staff wearing masks, although sign on door clearly stated they were required.

   This was our first time at this restaurant. I had informed our server that this was our first time as well. She rushed and we could barely hear her about how the restaurant works. Also there wasnt any explanation on pricing. We were there with a party of 8. 2 other tables 1 a party of 6 and the other a part of 4. They were seated after our party but both tables ordered before us and left before we did.

   Food is great. No menus but they will prepare you just about anything. Good, fresh ingredients and great servers. Talk to the chef to get more ideas of what you want him to make. Prices can be very high for some folks but talk to your server up front and you can avoid sticker shock when your bill arrives at the end of the evening. Great hidden gem of Milwaukee!

   We loved 4th Base. There is restaurant seating but we sat in the bar area. It was fun to have drinks and music in a pub like atmosphere but still experience an upscale food experience. The oysters were amazing and we loved both the steak and scallops. Would return for sure!

   Trying to rate this place is hard because it’s unique- it’s rare to find a hole in the wall bar with great food. We didn’t really know anything about the place but came for dinner at 5:30 on a Saturday night- when there was a Badger game on tv. We had a reservation but that seemed kind of unnecessary when we were just told to sit at a sticky high top in the corner. The case of fresh meats, seafood and vegetables was really different- we spoke to the chef and told him what we wanted and how we wanted it prepared and that was great. The food came out separately as it was done- and as we sat listening to the locals yelling at the football game. We ordered wine to go with our $50 steak and the waitress wasn’t sure if they had a Cabernet. The bottom line is if you’re going strictly to experience the food- it’s worth it. If you want ambiance and the things that usually come with a $100 per person bill, you should go elsewhere- because in the end it is just a local bar.

    Excellent food as always. Wasn’t thrilled with the lack of masks on bartenders and cooks during this time, our server did have a face covering. Still top notch food in a relaxed environment.
