Great for brunch

We are the original Filipino taqueria. We specialize in tacos, burritos, rice bowls, and the best double cheeseburger in the city. We only take reservations for our only table in the window. It seats 4 comfortably. (Maybe 6 if you are close friends). We only accept credit & debit cards. No cash.

My Mom and her entire side of her family come from Cebu City, the “2nd City” of the Philippines.

As a chef, I put a great deal of pressure on myself to disrupt and innovate beyond what is already there.
I've always wanted to create a laid-back taqueria-style bar/restaurant that represents what I am all about.

For me, this comes in the form of 2nd City...

I came here for the DP burger and it did not disappoint! I'm really glad I made a reservation because they limited seating available. It was also very busy and I saw a lot of people getting take-out. Food was great and service was also great!

Great vibes. Great service. Fun place. Fun, courteous staff. Loved the ribs, burgers and Sunday specials. Will definitely return and recommend to family and friends.

Great Filipino food with a modern twist! Delicious traditional drinks. Good portion size, great customer service. Minimal seating so make reservations!

I'm so glad I discovered this restaurant! If you have ever thought about trying Filipino food, then this is the venue: the food here is very tasty, good quality ingredients, and great value! I was there for lunch. We had the adobo chicken burrito and the pokey bowl. Fantastic! Also had the ube and macapuno (coconut) ice cream. Note: this is not a restaurant that has dining tables with waiters. It's a small-tiny place. If you book through OpenTable you will primarily sit at the only small rectangular table in the restaurant, located by the window. For everyone else, there is a bar with some bar stools. I loved where we were sitting! They serve alcoholic drinks too. Most everyone who entered the restaurant was there for take-out. The chef, Jordan, was sitting at the bar. He's was extremely personable. Will definitely be returning here whenever I visit NYC!
