   Amazing. It is absolutely clear that everyone here cares deeply about what they do. Amazing food, great environment, and very friendly inviting knowledgeable staff. I’ve already sent message to about 10 people I know to go. This is outside the normal food I experience. Everything was wonderful and every detail showed how much they care. If you are looking for a meal that is a thoughtful, delicious, elegant, adventurous and welcoming experience, this is it. Look forward to when I can get a sitter again and go back, though it will probably be a while.

   First...thank you!!! Awesome experience! Every item on the menu interested me! My other party was dairy free and the server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in our decision making! And whipped me up a mocktail! We tried the birds nest, rabbit sausage and mushroom dish under the starters, the noodle, one very long noodle! fried chicken and the budino...pretty sure you can't go wrong at 24 SUNS...The complexity of flavors , the artistry of the presentation along side the educated gracious service has given me hope for why I dine out.... no selfie wall needed! Will be back!

   Worth the drive to experience this new restaurant. One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in San Diego county. On par with the Michelin star restaurants. The crispy bird’s nest, shrimp robuchon and half duck were some of our favorites. We will be back.

   The format of the restaurant is really wonderful. I loved hearing about the history of the tea, the ingredients used, and the mission of the restaurant, with the menus being rotated according to the traditional Chinese solar cycle and using ingredients within the proper time frame. Also, felt the menu selection was carefully curated and developed for complex palettes. There were layers of flavors and aromas to enjoy with each dish. Some were excellently executed, like the Lap Yuk--preserved pork belly, sorghum rose baijiu, and silky egg custard. This dish was like warm comfort food. The local greens were a smokey delight. However, the beef dish with 17-foot-long noodles (excellently prepared with the perfect tooth feel) fell a bit flat. All in all, the experience was 5 stars, and experiencing the tea service alone with the special Pu'er from a 1000-year-old tea was worth the visit.

   Michelin quality dining without the set menu or price! We walked into the restaurant and were hesitant. Beyond glad we stayed. The first course (snacks) blew our minds. Wok greens and birds nest. The mushroom dumpling soup was equally delicious. The best course was the snapper. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Dessert did not disappoint; if only we had room for more. Overall, the flavors and presentations surpassed our expectations. We were transported to China without leaving Oceanside.

   24 Suns is the kind of restaurant that quietly redefines what dining out should feel like. Tucked away in an unassuming mall, it might be easy to overlook—but once you step inside, you’re transported. There’s no flashy signage, no pretense. Just a warm, welcoming space where food is the star, and every detail—down to the last grain of salt—feels intentional. The menu is thoughtful and deeply personal. Each dish carries a story, and that story is told with care and clarity—on the plate and by the staff. It’s food that evoked memories of home for me, but presented with the finesse and complexity of fine dining. The flavors are nuanced, layered, and deeply satisfying. What might seem like a simple dish at first glance unfolds into something far more profound once you take that first bite. Service is Michelin-level, yet never stiff. Our server was a standout—especially during the tableside tea service, which ended up being the highlight of the night. Their passion, knowledge, and care elevated a humble cup of tea into something ceremonial and unforgettable. There’s something incredibly refreshing about dining somewhere that isn’t backed by a celebrity chef or a corporate machine. 24 Suns is run by two chefs who clearly just love what they do. That love is present in every plate, every pour, every pause to make sure you’re enjoying yourself. They’ve stripped away the noise, the ego, the overproduction—and what’s left is just damn good food and a sense of being right where you belong. If you’re looking for a place that feeds your stomach and your soul, this is it.

   No Sunshine, Just a Bad Moon Rising We came here with high expectations due to the pedigree of the chef-owners, the 5-star reviews on the internet, and the interesting menu. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The Fujian Half Duck “5 ways” was unique and interesting, but a bit bland. The duck leg was pretty good, the breast was bland and a bit undercooked. One of the “5 ways” was the au jus which was delicious and helped the other 4 dishes. The chef helpfully explained the duck as it was being served, especially using the au jus on the other 4 dishes. The whole fish of the day (rockfish) lacked flavor. If you want delicious, exotic whole fish, go to Dija Mara in Oceanside. The Shrimp Robuchon was delicious – the best thing we had all night. The Lap Yuk (preserved pork belly) had an unpleasant texture. The restaurant is in a non-descript building in a strip mall with homeless people on the sidewalk. The restaurant looked as if it were closed and dark. A temporary sign above the door was the only giveaway that there might be something inside. The inside looked inviting, and the maître d seated us immediately. We were left unattended for a while. No water, no server - just a wine list that said whole bottles only. They seemed to be short on staff. The music was too loud to allow for easy conversation. They finally brought us water. The sun was in my eyes, and they had no way to block it. The server returned and focused on selling a whole bottle of wine, we had to ask for a food and wine by the glass menu. The server did not explain anything about the unusual dishes. Too loud music, underwhelming food, and a non-engaged server. Sorry, but it is one and done for us. We will not be back.

    It was a terrific experience. From a warm greeting at the front desk, friendly and knowledgeable server and exceptional flavors and presentation . Highly recommend this gem. The pedigree of the owners who were from Addison, was quite apparent!
