   Fantastic experience went there for the magical dining. Gary, our server, was really great with it being our first time dining and would surely come back and try other things on the menu. Stand out items to have when there was the venison tartare, the duck cassoulet, the braised short ribs, and the dark chocolate tart.

   Food was just okay - maybe we didn’t order the right things?! We sat in the bar area which was very noisy. Service was good.

   We were downstairs and the ambiance was cool. We were celebrating our anniversary and the noise level made it very difficult to have our own conversation. The oysters were small but tasty, the tartare was way too large of a portion. The Risotto was mushy and little flavor. The wine pairings were not good. Dessert cheesecake was delicious but very large piece and the wine pairing was also delicious. We will not return.

   My girlfriend and I went for Magical Dining experience. Fabulous food with incredible presentation and plenty to satisfy discriminating tasters!!

   Nice restaurant with great service but the Magical DIning items we selected were just fair at best. As a result, I don’t feel even with Magical DIning pricing that our meal represented a good value. Venison appetizer was exceptionally large portion and way too filling, heavy on hollandaise, and the meat not very flavorful. The main course Beef Short Rib likewise not very flavorful and the johnny cake and potatoes lacked distinct flavor and the gravy was absorbed by them leaving the entire plate tasting the same. The Dark Chocolate tart was perhaps the best of the meal however it seemed like an item that was prepared a day a go and sat in the fridge for too long, not fresh… Meal presentation was excellent, and every plate “looked” interesting but not sure I would consider trying 1921 again.

   Cory is an incredible server. I attended for my birthday and everything was super cute and I received a free birthday dessert. Even on the menu there was a personalized menu printed “Happy Birthday” and I got to meet the chef for the night. What an incredible experience. Thank you to all the staff

   I never write reviews but this restaurant really deserves it! Choose it searching on web for my bday and I am so happy I did so. They really made my bday special giving me a menu which says Happy Birthday! What a detail! Details are what make life beautiful! Thanks 1921. That said the food was amazing. Its been a long time that I dont eat sooo good! We had the trout dip, incredible and delicate flavor. And after short ribs and halibut as entrees, both were amazing! Again thanks 1921 for an amazing experience for us at Mt. Dora!

    All 3 of us were extremely disappointed in our meals. I had scallops with root vegetables and it was tasteless. None of us finished our meals. I don’t mind paying for good quality food but this was not it. The service was good. But I will not be returning to 1921.
