   Absolutely superb, staff were lovely and the food was absolutely fantastic. Really enjoyed our evening there.

   Very generous with food portions, very filling and tasty. One server seemed unsure on few occasions (perhaps he’s only just started new job) but was polite enough. Overall a great experience

   Unfortunately on arrival. Although my booking was confirmed verbally the hotel was unable to find my reservation. It took a good 10 minutes and fortunately we had an alternative proof of purchase which confirmed my booking.After being shown to a table in the corner, we were moved to a more suitable table. We were offered a glass of champagne which we suspected was Cava! We asked for English Breakfast Tea and was a actually given green tea. I asked our server for a jug of whole milk instead of semi skimmed. On her return I was told that it was not available but I was told I could have some double cream (for an establishment of this calibre) not to have whole milk was very poor. As for the food the sandwiches they were dry and the filling was scarce but the pastries and scones were good.

   It was a lovely setting, however we were a little disappointed with the sandwiches and did provide this feedback to the staff. The sandwiches lacked filling and at one point all we could taste was butter. Scones and cakes were lovely.

   The food and place was amazing. When we arrived they did not have our reservation even though we had confirmation text and calendar message. We had paid in advance for three course meal but that was still included in the bill. Saying that the food and restaurant was amazing. Perhaps administration could be improved

   Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend the Afternoon Tea here. The two ladies at the restaurant reception failed to acknowledge us when we entered the restaurant and carried on doing something on the system. Then our reservation wasn’t even listed although I had had several confirmations prior to the the visit. This wasn’t a problem they said and went to seat us in a dark area by the kitchen door. We asked if we could be seat seated at the front by the window in the sun. Advised that this wasn’t possible as we were voucher customers. The Tea was placed in the table not poured. We asked to take home leftover cakes for the children and a plastic takeaway carton placed on table. If the service and experience had been better we may have stayed for a drink on the balcony but as it has been stated that we were voucher customers we didn’t feel particularly welcome. I would advise that anyone thinking of treating yourself to this experience save up for somewhere that treats you special with the impeccable service. Fortnum & mason, The Dorchester. Fantastic building unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. I know you get what you pay for but if you are giving vouchers to entice customers to a place you should not be treated in this way.

   Lovely staff, food superb would highly recommend. We would’ve been seated in what looked like the hallway, so we asked if we could sit in the actual dining area, this wasn’t a problem and was a better option.
