   What a delight for a Celiac to find a restaurant in which you can have anything on the menu, including buttery biscuits! Easter brunch was outstanding.

   Food and service not quite what we expected for the price. The service at Posana was hit or miss; other servers were very friendly but ours was rather cold and the kitchen was quite slow. Definitely order an appetizer for the wait. Mocktails were delicious and a nice selection of drinks. Pork belly starter was overly salty and entrees were mixed in quality. I ordered the scallop special and received 3 small scallops and some chopped up veg for $42. Spouse enjoyed the short rib entree. Overall beautiful atmosphere and top notch beverage program, but there are better places to enjoy a meal in town.

   This was a great pick for a date night. Beautiful intimate setting. Well curated spirits selection (it’s hard to find restaurants with REAL quality rum). The kale salad alone is reason enough for me to return. It was that good. Also, the entire staff from beginning to end was pleasant but our server truly was exceptional. Unfortunately I’m terrible with remembering names but I won’t forget his warmth. He made lots of great menu recommendations, as well as recommendations for our next day hike!

   Overall things were good but not excellent. It took us 30 minutes to get our cocktails after we ordered and took 2 hours to get through the full meal service. The steak special was a $60 Ribeye but it was lacking flavor and was certainly not the best Ribeye cut for the price point. Generally disappointing. The food wasn’t bad but for the price point, I had higher expectations. We probably won’t return. Not a terrible choice but we have had much better experiences in Asheville.

   Went to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed. The food was fabulous. The cheddar biscuits were warm and delicious. I had the chicken with a side of fingerling potatoes and strawberry shortcake for dessert. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the potatoes perfectly cooked and the dessert was expertly baked and assembled. In addition, the staff was attentive, friendly and professional. They surprised me with a special appetizer and dessert bite. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a special place to celebrate.

   We have celiacs in our family and make a point of always dining at Posana when we visit Asheville once or twice a year. The food this time did not live up to the standard set by several previous visits. The food was good but not outstanding, and we had always enjoyed the gluten-free onion rings that are no longer offered on the current menu. The fried oyster mushrooms were fancy but not very good—perhaps some regular mushrooms that were filled and battered and deep fried would have been a better option. We were so disappointed with yesterday’s dinner that we cancelled our second reservation for dinner tomorrow and have made reservations elsewhere at another nearby restaurant also known for its gluten-free offerings
