   I have never had a bad or even OK meal at the Poached Pear. All of them have been excellent and I’ve been there many times. Our server was very attentive made very good recommendations. She knew her menu very well and was able to describe the dishes we asked about. I had the bread duck with a sweet potato cannelloni, which was out of this world. My friend had the veal and he was equally pleased. I would highly recommend the Poached Pear to all my friends and anyone else who is down at the shore and wants a very good meal. Hats off to the chef.

   Wonderful service! Tables a bit close and with the room design it got to be quite noisy and difficult to hear at our table. Our table really enjoyed their shrimp and pork chop.

   Very nice dinner. We will be back. Our server was great - well informed and communicative. We enjoyed the room ambience. There were a few open tables so the room was pleasantly quiet for conversation. We enjoyed our meals - the only comment being that the grilled salmon could have been pulled from the grill a little earlier.

   Another perfect evening! Food, service, ambiance-all of it-perfect! We brought our son and daughter-in-law from out of town and they agreed. We love this restaurant.

    Great food without the pretense. Mushroom appetizer over puff pastry was straightforward and very satisfying. A scallop entrée arrived looking beautiful and perfectly cooked.
