   Went with a friend for a small celebratory brunch. Service was excellent, atmosphere a little lacking as the brunch is served in an indoor restaurant and lounge area, no natural light. But the harpist and pianist made it feel a bit special. Variety of food was somewhat limited but quality was excellent (great Waldorf salad!). The bread and butter pudding was incredible; the single baked Alaska disappointing. Overall glad I went and I'd recommend going for a treat, but not sure I'd go again (the whole lobby setup is a little strange too...).

   They did not have a table for us (we had 3 people) so offered a small 2 top. We had to be finished eating by a certain time because we were going to a show, so we accepted the table, otherwise, we would have had to wait. I was kind of dissapointed because the reservation was for food and the table was tiny, and I had made the reservations about 2 weeks ahead of time. As it ended up, a 4 top opened up and we moved, so it all worked out. Overall, it didn't seem like it mattered if you had a reservation. It's a lounge setting, and we were able to watch celebrities in costume walking through the lobby going to Bette Midler's annual Hulaween Party in the Grand Ballroom, so it was very fun people watching. We had small dishes. ..Waldorf Salad, burgers, fish tacos, fries, and vegetable tempura. The food was excellent. Ambiance, with a fabulous jazz pianist, was wonderful!

   I asked for my omelette to exclude mushrooms because I allergic. The omelette arrived with mushrooms. I could not get my waiter's attention and I was in a business meeting, so I just picked the mushrooms out, which since they were chopped was a bit difficult.

   Our waiter was impersonal, poorly attentive, and never introduced himself by name. Much time lapsed between sightings and he NEVER asked how my wife or I liked our food. Twice during this meal, my water glass was completely empty and I had to flag the waiter down to request a refill on both occasions. On both accounts, I had to drink from my wifes class until the waiter was again visible. As elegant as the hotel accommodations were, I would not recommend dining at this restaurant

   Oh my, this was so disappointing and a colossal waste of money. We were seated a a pleasant quiet table near a harpist in the back room, and then 15 minutes later told to move to a table in the front, which was noisier and smaller. Service, easy because it is a buffet, was spotty. Not even an offer of coffee at the end of the meal--we had to hunt someone down, remind another person, and 20 minutes later, two cups appeared. Food was ok, but not at all worth the sky high price, which was higher than I'd read it was online. Virtually nothing, aside from eggs and fruit, was gluten free, and nothing was labelled with ingredients. I am sorry I went there. It's as if they didn't care, perhaps because they plan to close the hotel sometime soon.

   I mostly eat seafood there and as long as they have lobster, shrimp, smoked salmon and some cooked fish i am happy. Omelets and meats I can get at my local diners. Salad and soup are generally disappointing. Wine and mixed drinks (cocktails) are quite good. Service was fine.

   Excellent food, numerous choices in an elegant and relaxed setting. Would definitely go back.

   Food was good but not great. Nothing really outstanding. Lobster bisque was ok. Raw bar was good. Beef Wellington overdone. Baked Alaska was a cute novelty. At $125 per person, it was WAY overpriced. $309 total for party of 2. Crazy by even NYC standards.
