   The Palm is awesome but the server constantly tries to mark me up, I mean the Palm is already expensive enough, he asked my 12 year old if he wanted a "starter" French Onion Soup (the kid already order a steak and fries, I mean c'mon) and then tried to mark us up on Dessert/after dinner drinks after we said no to dessert. I've had this waiter before, he is more like a salesman than the warm experience I would prefer at such a dinner.

   Great meal! Wine and drinks perfect. Fun group of friends who visit the NY restaurant were pleased with the Florida version.

   Had to ask for bread, brought out a much cheaper bottle of wine than what we ordered, was my birthday but no recognition after booking this with that occasion, lights at table very dusty.

   We had the kindest waiter, Chase, and he was extremely helpful in helping us out with ordering our food. He made excellent recommendations for us and it was just the best night! He made our 12th. Wedding anniversary perfect!!

    My words carry weight since I enjoy eating at the best steak houses in the United States. The Palms was excellent for the meal that I had. 16 oz Prime Rib medium rare with Oscar sauce, mashed potato’s, green string beans, house salad, bread service, cannoli dessert and San Pellegrino water. 1. The entire staff was pleasant and accommodating. The wait staff was attentive and informative in every aspect of the dinning experience. 2. Bread service was excellent. 3. I enjoy eating my meal all together. Therefore, I had my salad with my meal. The house salad was excellent. 4. Green beans and mashed potato’s were excellent. The beans were flavorful and crispy and the potato’s warm and creamy. (Believe it or not, these two items are so difficult to deliver to a guest cooked properly. The Palm chef’s did it right.) 5. Prime Rib: cooked medium rare was perfect! The entire steak was the same temperature. Another difficult task completed to perfection by the chef’s. The Oscar sauce was the correct portion to the steak. Complimenting the texture, warmth and flavor of the prime rib. The garlic clove accompaniment (the FIRST I ever had with prime rib) was fantastic. The garlic cloves were cooked to a cream texture where I could adjust the amount to each piece of prime rib. The garlic was NOT over powering at all. It added a distinct flavor that enhanced the flavor of the prime rib. 6. The cannoli shell was the correct texture of smoothness and crunch. While the filling was sweet and delicate. 7. San Pellegrino water is the best. The Palms staff make it even better! How is this? The liter bottle is placed on the table in its own ice bath keeping the beverage cold and crisp. The carbonation of the water cleanses the pallet enabling the guest to enjoy each bite as it is the first. (Ahh! You learned something in this post!) This is NOT the prime rib you get at your local restaurant. The Palm chef’s created a new category of prime rib.
