   OPUS appears to be very stringent about their rules. We set up a 1 pm reservation, and, when we arrived, they escorted us to a table with the least amount of privacy in the restaurant. We were forced to celebrate our 52nd anniversary by being a part of the conversations going on at 4 tables. When we asked to be.moved to a different table the receptionist informed us that there were none available (while we were looking at 2 empty ones in the same room!) We will have our celebrations at different restaurants from now on, and we advise others to do the same.

   Thank you for your post here on OpenTable. I am so sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your table location when you joined us for your anniversary. While there were indeed open tables in the same room, our host erroneously assumed that you would not want any of those tables because they were in the same room. In all other areas of the restaurant we had large parties, each of our five booths had been requested, and our largest room had been reserved with a private party of 30. Even the three tables in our bar had been requested so the host could not offer those. I am so sorry if she did not graciously communicate this with you or allow you to take another table in the same room.

   Slow Monday but worth the trip for the carryover Surf &Turf special. This has a lot of food value for $40. One dish was S&T with scallops. The second was the Seafood Medley - a bit pricey at $47. The steak and scallop dish was served with unseared scallops and sent back. The small filet returned a bit under par. The medley was good. For this spot it was a lazy job and a bit too casual. Wine on Sunday only is half price with a regular menu item so we paid full for a decent no cork Oregon Pinot. Kudos for posting on the front door that gentlemen must remove hats. I’ve seen far too many nice places accept overly casual dress. Hats don’t belong in a restaurant of this caliber.

   Thank you for taking the time to leave your post both here on OpenTable & I-Dine, Mr. Taxter. We read each and every review in our constant effort to grow our business. I am glad to see you enjoyed some of your experience with us, but so sorry to hear that the scallops and service left something to be desired. We typically have received fine comments on both our food and service, and I regret that this was not the case here. I will be reaching out via telephone so I might offer my apologies in a more direct and appropriate manner. I look forward to speaking with you and to the chance of changing your most recent impression of Opus 9.

   My wife and I took our daughter there to celebrate her graduation and as usual Sine knocked the meal out of the park. TOTAL Perfection.  we were greeted and seated immediately. I had the salmon while my wife had the salad and my Daughter made had the filet of beef. Everything was fantastic. . We are all anxious to return and recommend the lunch as 2nd to none. It is among our favorites in all of WILLIAMSBURG!

   Since moving to Williamsburg, this is my favorite place for celebrating an event or just enjoying the very nice ambience. The service is fantastic and food phenomenal. I can find no fault in Opus9. Well managed and go out of their way to be kind and helpful.

   Outstanding evening dinner. food was terrific and service was on point. Alison was a great server, friendly and efficient.

   Our experience at Opus 9 was fantastic from start to finish. My wife started with their French Onion Soup and had the small filet. I had crab cakes as an appetizer and then a medium filet and Lobster Tail. We shared their premium chocolate dessert. Everything was excellent. The filets were cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth. Kaylyn provided top notch service- friendly and helpful- without bothering us. We have dined at many restaurants across the country and around the world. It might be because we were extra hungry after a day of touring Colonial Williamsburg- but we both thought this was one of our best restaurant experiences.

   Jake! Our server, was exceptional. Food was delicious, but limited options. Overall a wonderful brunch, but somewhat overpriced for offerings.

   First time experiencing the Jazz Brunch. Buffet options were very good. Music added a nice touch to a birthday celebration.

    The catfish lunch special was piping hot and delicious. Our service was excellent. And lunch specials are an excellent value. What more can you want.
