   Simply outstanding, dish after dish. Odd Duck is one of our favorite restaurants in Austin, and we took a friend visiting from out of town there for dinner. The only thing I can criticize is the outdoor heating situation. The staff turned on 1-2 heaters in the patio area, and we were sitting right under one. It was torching our backs, which made the latter part of our meal quite uncomfortable. Perhaps the restaurant can rethink its heating placement to the other side of the patio, where there are no tables? Otherwise, we had a wonderful dinner!

   Second time there. The food is amazing. Loved the pork belly and the apple fritter with sour cream ice cream.

   Odd Duck is the best restaurant in Austin. They have great food, exceptional service, complete wine list and imaginative drinks. No matter when you go you will always be surprised and delighted by the menu. Enjoy!

   I love eating at this restaurant. I come here several times a year and the menu was never the same. Everything is always worthwhile, make sure you order the bread.

   Odd Duck is often listed among Austin's best restaurants and it deserves this status. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of the food, but be forewarned: portions are small. The ambience is only so-so since most of the seating is around a large bar. If you enjoy watching your food being prepared, however, you may count this as a plus rather than minus. The wine list is more extensive than at most places in town and the selection appears to me to be good. Altogether a very good value for the money.

   A majority of our party of 8 declared it the best meal they ever had. And these were folks who have eaten lots of good food in their many decades of life. Very special small dishes, each one complex beyond my description and beyond the description on the menu. All the following were amazing dishes: grilled carrots, pig cheek buns, jerked pork belly, smoked oyster flat breads, fried pickled zucchinis etc, taco, sweet potato with green chile and fried skins (yes, possibly the best)....

   This was my 2nd visit to The Odd Duck. 1st visit I rated every dish A or A+. Must be a different cook in the kitchen now because the food was off. Crispy quail was way salty. Flavor of the quail couldn't break through the taste of salty breaded crust. Crab salad was long on kohlrabi (2 ways) and decidedly short on crab.

   First time at the Odd Duck. Met some friends from out of town. It was the best pick ever. Great service. Great food. We let our server pick her favorites and let it roll. We'll be back!

    My entire family and I really enjoy this restaurant. We appreciate both the quality of food and its treatment, as well as, the high level of service they provide. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy ourselves during our last visit. While we enjoyed the vibe and drinks, we didn't enjoy the food offerings available on the new menu. We will try again next season.
