The food and service was excellent. We were very happy with the wine list which included the less often found Albarino that paired nicely with the Tuna Sandwich and the Warm Mushroom Salad. The Tomales Bay oysters were served properly on crushed ice with a spicy mignonette that added some fun heat to the cool briny treats. We will definitely be back.

Incredible views, expansive wine list. Attentive service. Wonderful presentation of meals and food tasted amazing. A special place that is great when you just happen upon it or when its a planned special night out. A special and satisfying evening.

I have always REALLY enjoyed our visit to Nick's Cove. This time was very disappointing. The bar service was excellent. Our first dishes (appetizers) came out at a very reasonable time. Our main courses however didn't come to our table for over 45 minues. The worst part was our server never communicated with us about the delay of our food. Also, I had ordered seared ahi tuna and it came way overdone!!!! So sad for such a wonderful piece of fish. We left a tip that reflected our experience with a note as to why the tip was less than we would normally leave.

Time travel....As we traveled from Napa Valley to get out of our vineyard, lunch at Nicks Cove sounded wonderful...My husband and I had a Date Day...Listened to 60's and 70's music and hoped we would continue our time travel in the past, at Nicks Cove...We have dined at many places, but never got to Nicks Cove... OK....Was not disappointed, they managed to keep it nostalgic, yet up to date on wine and cuisine...Lunch was wonderful and the staff was right on the mark of being down to earth and professional... Will do this again, but maybe stay in their cottages next time???

My grandparents new the original owners and lived across the street when there was a little cottage there. I have been coming to Nicks Cove since I was little its nice to see that the original bar is still there (I had many of Shirley Temples and Fries there). The service lacked luster on this particular day compared to our visit on 07/14/2016. No refills were offered. The was good the truffle fries didn't quite have the same flare as the last time they were a bit over done. This will not deter us from coming back as this is a family place for us.

Service was horrible at best. We spoke to the host before parking who advised we should Valet only to find out we had to move after dinner 50 feet away from the restaurant whereby we had to pay another parking fee and "if" we would have known we could have simply parked by the dock for the Kayak tour. Unfortunately I can't recommend your restaurant due to high prices, poor service and in a way I feel taken advantage of....I will be back for the tour but I'll bring my own wine and park down the road.

Most disappointing !! When I made the reservation for lunch to celebrate my partner's special #60 Birthday we had high expectations; why not ? Great location, fantastic views, oysters, local seafood (hopefully) and a long established restaurant with a good reputation. Upon arrival a few minutes prior to our reservation time we were met by a surly staff member (who clearly did not want to be there) and she took us to our table. Great setting overlooking the water and it was a gorgeous day so we were happy - our server took our orders - a little surprising - the only seafood on the menu that was local were the oysters - he said that the cod (for fish and chips) came in on a truck from some other location - the tuna (for tuna melt) was also from some far away place. We didn't want burgers or chicken so we stuck with the fish and chips and tuna melt. I ordered a glass of wine - nice selection to choose from. Okay - 50 minutes later, we are still waiting - no refill of water glasses, no food, no explanation regarding why the food had not yet arrived - also, no sign of our waiter ? ! Wow !! When I asked another wait person who was serving the table next to us if she knew if our order got lost she said: "we are having a bumpy day in the kitchen" - she was gracious and apologetic - but couldn't do much more than offer an apology. Finally, almost one hour after we sat down our food arrived; we ate, our server promptly brought the check - no suggestion of dessert - no gesture of Happy Birthday to ___ (my partner) - so we left. It's 4 days later and my tummy is still rumbling - am not too sure that the tuna melt was a good choice, after all !

I have no idea what was going on in the kitchen. We waited for more than an hour before getting our food. The waiter apologized after waiting for a considerable time and brought free chowder for 2 of us. The quality of the food was a disappointment. My burger was overdone and dry. My husband's tuna melt wasn't good. We had to ask for water several times when our glasses were empty. The server seemed to be lost in whatever was going on in the kitchen. Even the fire alarm went off several times while we were eating. We've been here a number of times and always enjoyed it. Not this time! We may not return as there is better food and service elsewhere.

Great spot on point Reyes bay with incredible deck that offers beautiful views. Food was good, not stand out amazing, but delicious none the less. We had a couple drinks; the bar is well stocked and they make their own tonic water which is always a treat. Nice staff, beautiful location, good bar all the components of a great date spot.

Beautiful location on Tomales Bay. All of the oysters were excellent. We tried several small plates to share, and each dish was well prepared and delicious. The atmosphere was casual and warm. We left satisfied and ready for our night kayaking adventure. Would definitely venture out here again for the scenery and food.
