- MMariaGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoLast night, my boyfriend and I dined at Buddakhan to celebrate my birthday. Lucky for us, it was a beautiful night in the city. Initially, we were seated by the bar, so we requested another table. The hostess graciously agreed to move us to another table with a better view of the Buddha. We were then seated at a corner table by the kitchen, which wasn't ideal either, but it was fine. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, attentive, and efficient. The meal itself was FABULOUS! It was probably the best meal I have had in a long time. We started with the Dim Sum sampler. My boyfriend preferred the Edamame dumplings while I favored the Szechuan pork dumplings. That was followed by the lobster fried rice, which is always delicious. For our entrees, he had the Sea Bass, which he enjoyed very much, and I had the grilled lamb chops with Mongolian barbeque sauce. They were out-of-this-world amazing! Even the little watercress salad with the spicy dressing and slivers of cucumber that accompanied it was unique and flavorful. Although we were quite full after that meal, we opted to order the Dim Sum donuts for dessert, which did not disappoint. They came with three types of dipping sauces: chocolate, ginger cream cheese, and a seasonal blueberry lavender (our favorite). The whole meal was wonderful, and we will definitely be returning in the near future!More infoBuddakan - PhiladelphiaPrice: Expensive• Asian• Old City•4.8

Opt for a quieter night at a critically acclaimed, plant-based gem in Midtown Village. Or splurge on a swanky steakhouse that presides over a corner of Rittenhouse Park. Whether you’re after an intimate spot for an anniversary date or a convivial atmosphere for a boisterous reunion, Philadelphia has you covered with these 12 celebration-worthy restaurants.
