Took 30 minutes to be seated, an inadequate number of menus was dropped on table. After 10 minutes of waiting for a server, we got up and left. We had a reservation, by the way.

Vegetable tempura was disappointing but the shrimp tempura was great! Fried pork was tasteless. The sake was delicious.

Quiet gem just east of the pedestrian walk at Pearl Street. Some of the BEST Chinese I've had in a long time!

My son and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant on Valentine's Day. Should have been suspicious when they were one of the very few restaurants that had reservations available at reasonable times. We had frequented Moongate when our children were little and always had a good experience. Have no idea what has happened since then, but the service was awful: one employee as server and hostess for the whole restaurant. We waited 15 minutes before she came to the table and another fifteen before our drinks arrived, followed by almost 30 before our dishes came. There were tables all around us with no service. In addition, the food was mediocre at best. Not at all up to the standards of the past, with lackluster flavor and cold food that were hot dishes. They couldn't even get spring rolls right! I actually suggested to a table of four that was next to us to leave and go elsewhere, as they waited more than fifteen minutes for any service at all, and I suggested the same to a couple that was standing at the entrance waiting to be seated for way too long. Never felt compelled to do that in the past in any restaurant. So disappointing! Definitely will NOT go back.

The night we went there were too many customers for the staff, so service was slow. I think that might not be representative. The wait staff was trying hard and was pleasant. The food was good for an everyday meal, not so much a special occasion.
