   Everything great! Only thing is my bottle of wine was a bit more on the bill than advertised on the menu.

   ***Beware of the 20% surcharge!*** I chose The Metropolitan for pre-Opera dining on this past Saturday evening. I’m usually generous with my ratings, and this restaurant has the potential of 5 stars in many areas. However, have two reasons for the 3 stars. 1st, it’s a challenge finding the restaurant so please allow an additional 10 minutes to get through the very detailed security and find the 67th floor. Also, please note- there’s not an option on the elevator for the 67th floor, I had to figure out you need to take the elevator to the 66th floor and take the stairs up to the 67th floor. The second issue I have is, after enjoying the wonderful ambience of the restaurant with a great view of the city, the excellent service provided by the server, and the food was great (I had the Lobster Bisque and the Amish Chicken). Then, comes the check with the unexpected 20% surcharge (and it states on the check that the surcharge doesn’t include tip or gratuity. I paid the check (with the surcharge) plus the tip without complaints that evening, but I was a little taken back.

   So weird trying to find the restaurant. Amazing view for sure. Smaller menu I’m sure thanks to COVID. The ravioli was too rich. My biggest problem was the wine list by the glass did not have the price of the bottle included which was quite confusing.

   Upon entering the building, I ask the agent if there was a public restroom as I had a terrible need. The agent informed me that we had to wait to be escorted to the elevator. The agent took about 5 minutes to return as he was escorting another party to the elevator. If a patron has to wait that long especially after having driven 20 miles may be they need to reopen public restrooms on the 1st floor instead of traveling to the 67th where we had dinner.

   I always do the Metropolitan when visiting Chicago. Never disappoints. The Club goes above and beyond ro accommodate guests. Great cuisine with a view to boot. Even despite so much pandemic restrictions everywhere so much is being done there with less. An excellent business model.

   Very nice elegant place. Had an amazing Easter brunch with my husband and kids. The service was amazing and the view was breathtaking totally recommend

   There was a 20% service charge and then you were expected to tip on top of that. It wouldn't have been a problem if it was clearer on the menu, but it was in extremely tiny font after the disclaimer about not eating undercooked meat. Also, normally a service charge includes the tip, so it was weird and confusing what the service charge was going towards, if not to our server (who was lovely).
