Our Chefs passionately prepare each of our dishes to really make Bishops Dining Room and Wine Bar a unique restaurant, any special requests are happily accommodated. Enticing, seasonal menus will ensure all of our guests leave us wanting more. Originally from Lake Como, Italy, Alex Tranquillo is looking forward to personally welcoming you and your guests to Bishops Dining Room and Wine Bar. His love for catering will ensure you are looked after from the moment you walk in, until the minute you leave.

    Rocky Bottoms started out as an 1800s brick kiln with a purpose to fire bricks. Eventually the brick kiln was unable to compete with larger competitors and closed down after WW2. Since this time the brick kiln has offered itself as agricultural storage until it collapsed and stood derelict.
    In 2008 the brick kiln’s potential and need of restoration was spotted by local fishing family; The Matthews. After years of love and attention, Rocky Bottoms, as we know it today was born. Our doors opened in May 2015, just in time for the start of the crab season. We deliver local shellfish from pot to plate in a laid back environment. Rocky Bottoms believes in enjoying the simpler things in life!

All of our dining will be either 6.30 or 7.00pm starts, unfortunately we will not be able to offer any later tables.
Our Adult only fine dining restaurant has been awarded two rosettes by the AA for the quality of our food.
We aim to host the majority of our summer and early autumn dining, alfresco in our newly built under cover outside dining experience in the garden. IMPORTANT ! when booking during this period please note, dining maybe inside or outside and will be weather dependent and whilst we understand that some of you may book with us to experience the outside booths, on the night should the weather becomes extreme, we unfortunately may need to move the dining experience inside. .
