   The service and attentiveness to our table was excellent. Our waiter gave suggestions on portion size which benefited our cost, not their profit. I liked the integrity of this response. The place is clean and relaxed. The little dishes of food were unmenorable. The excitement of their food presentation was better than what we actually ate.

   Excellent date night on a Saturday night though glad we had reservations as it was busy around 730 but thinned our by 830. The waiters helped us select dishes and everything was delicious. Definitely end with an Ethiopian coffee which is also top notch. Will definitely be going back

   Loved our dinner at Mesob! We came in 10 mins before our reservations and were seated immediately in few mins. After twenty minutes or so, someone came up to get the order. I don’t know if they were busy or they want to give us time to decide. The food came out promptly and everything tasted amazing. We ordered one vegetarian entree and one non- vegetarian entree, both comes with Injera and two sides. We also had the appetizer. It was more than enough food for two people. Overall, it was good dinner. Service can improve a little bit. Nevertheless, we will go back.

   A fantastic restaurant, very few Ethiopian restaurants, in New Jersey and this is a good one!

   Pretty good food if you are in the mood for Ethiopian cuisine. The waitress had the personality of a stone and could not offer any recommendations and didn't even offer us dessert even though we wanted it. We had to ask her to bring back menus so we could order it.

   Decided to try this place for my birthday this year and glad I did. Definitely did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

    I've been here multiple times before & I love the food & the owner & her sister. My family always will love this place and we travel a long distance so come here. I've been to another Ethiopian restaurant in Westchester & Mesob still is way better and has a larger menu. I'm just mildly disappointed with the service, we really had to wait a long time to be seated, then a long time for water, then a long time for wine glasses & yet the restaurant wasn't completely packed. If I saw the owner that night I would've wanted to tell her myself that it felt like we were largely ignored. The food is fabulous and I always feel like this is the ultimate comfort food. I also don't love that they really squeezed the tables together, they used to have an island in the center of the restaurant and now it's as crowded with tables like a restaurant in Manhattan. I came to Montclair for some space so I don't love that I have to bump into my neighbors table to get to my chair. This may have been an off night for Mesob, but I hope the service does improve next time I come back. I will overall definitely be back.
