   As longtime patrons of Merrill & Houston’s, we were disappointed with our recent visit. Despite having a reservation, we waited nearly an hour for our table. When we were finally seated, it was at a less-than-ideal table, even though we had noted that this was a special occasion. To make matters worse, due to the long wait, one of the featured dinner items was no longer available, and by the time we placed our order, the last two specials had just been claimed. It was a frustrating experience, to say the least. Unfortunately, we’ve noticed a decline in Merrill’s overall experience over the past year. With family visiting from out of state, we had hoped to showcase one of our favorite spots, but this visit failed to leave the impression we were hoping for.

   It was our anniversary and they made it so special for us by a card and a champagne toast! Our server was amazing and the food fantastic. So much I couldnt finish it! Will definitely be back! Thank you Sarah for your great service!!

   Disappointed that a steakhouse would run out of baked potatoes. Overall a delicious dinner priced right for the quality. Looking forward to our next visit.

   It is probably one of the best steak houses in the area. The Works ribeye was wonerful and was $52. The seafood alfredo looked great and I was told it was outstanding. Everything was great. It is upscale and pricy. The only thing I didn't like was, the tables are very close together, pushing back your chair and getting out can be difficult, with 4 tops back to back. 4 of us at that table were crowded. Dishes were removed promptly with many staff walking by and assuring a clean table. Take time and sit at the bar, strike up a conversation with the bartenders, who have been there quite awhile. The bar manager is delightful to chat with he knows his booze. It's always fun to see someone famous there.

   My wife and I wanted a special date night received one of our worst dinners to date. We started with Oyster rockefellers and as they placed them in front of me I smelled something burned, yes it was the oysters. Most eat them raw so Imagine them cooked to the point they were burnt. Then we had crab cakes, and yes, they were burnt, such a tender food item should never be overcooked. Then the waitress brought us asparagus wrapped in bacon and this time the opposite happened. Raw bacon, and undercooked asparagus. We had several drinks but still couldn't wash the bad taste in our mouth. We paided our $$$$bill and said our Goodbyes

   My wife and I have driven up from illinois twice now to go to this fantastic restaurant, and we plan on doing so again. This place was perfect for taking the wife out. Great steaks and drink selection. My wife's reaction to the seafood mac and cheese alone will continue to bring us back. Service was never far and always attentive. Safe to say that this is definitely now one of our frequent date night stops.
