   I've been trying to hit the late Jonathan Gold's 101 best restaurants in Los Angeles. I've been to most of the fine-dining ones and so far, my favorite is Melisse. Jean-Francois has been extremely accommodating as the manager. Matt, the sommelier, has the perfect wine-pairing palette. I could not have been more satiated and happy.

   went there to celebrate BD, staff very attentive & knowledgeable, every course was on point, always love their standard egg caviar, now sunchok ( potato &sunflower hash & black truffle) soup, truffle risotto are my new favorite,red velvet -red beet dessert, foie gras terrine, I can go on & on.. love the little change in the egg caviar served with brioche.. truely perfect meal.. usually 7 course tasty menu, you get couple misses, but not 12-26-2018. I didn't even make it to cheese course! It is that good!! miss the bacon bread, but glad you serve the bread after the soup.. Thank you for an unforgettable meal!

   Not what I expected. The food was ok. Very disappointed in main course. But what I really didn’t like was the added 3% charge in the bill for health insurance benefits for their employees. I have bever ever heard or seen anything like this. You can ask to remove the charge, but only if you notice it. The restaurant like this should not be asking for something like that.

   Melisse is an amazing dinner experience across the board. Our server extraordinaire, Douglas, was informative, professional, funny and a perfect addition to our celebration. The food was incomparable and presented with knowledge and pride. The restaurant is expensive but rather worth it.

   We dined during the Road to Lyon night and I think the staff was overwhelmed by the full house. Our first course was served and we had to wait for 15-20 mins to get the wine pairing started since I think the waiter forgot about us. It got to the point that the second wait staff asked us if we were done with our first course and noticed that we didn't touch it yet since we were still waiting for the wine to come. Otherwise, everything was back to normal and the food was excellent. I have been coming to Melisse for years and sad to see that they will be closing soon.

   I was wowed - from start to finish our experience was impeccable. Definitely, an experience to try at least once. The price was more than a typical restaurant but so was the service, food, wine, creativity. Well worth it. The food was excellent but the service is really what I noticed. Every single person was friendly, warm, and efficient. I look forward to my next dinner at Melisse!

   Food was outstanding, we dine very often at Providence and had heard about Melisse so we tried the restaurant. Two completely different experiences. I think the prices are very high at Melisse

   The wine pairing was seriously lacking. Too many champagnes/sparkling whites and no whites with one red
